Solution to the Car Puzzle - CAR Puzzle The initial solution most people will think of is to use the fastest person as an usher to guide everyone across. But it would take longer as 50 + 5 +35 + 5 + 10 = 105 mins. But can it be the right answer? No. That would make this question too simple even as a warm-up question. Let’s brainstorm a little further. To reduce the amount of time, we should find a way for 50 and 35 to go together as they are the slowest among all these. If they drive together, then we need one of them to come back to get the others. That would not be ideal. How do we get around that? Maybe we can have 5 waiting on the other side to bring the car back. This brings us closer to the solution. So let’s put all this together. Steps: 5 and 10 go together and move to the other side. Now 10 comes back with the car from the other side. 35 and 50 go in the car together and 10 remain to this side only. Now 5 comes back with the car alone At last, 5 and 10 go together! Total time taken = 10 + 10 + 50 + 5 + 10 = 85 mins React if you liked it ♥️
