Internal Economies of Scale (Alevels + IB) ever wondered how many workers u need at a bubble tea store? ideally, the number is 3. if you have 3, one can focus on collecting the orders, one can make the drink, and one can hand ur out. This makes a larger store that can hire 3 workers more *productive/ efficient* than a smaller store that only has 1 worker, resulting in lower average costs. This is internal economies of scale. However, what happens when u have too many workers in a store? they start bumping into each other, spilling drinks. then ur cost rises.. that’s internal diseconomies of scale Whenever the question mentions something along the lines of - “increased output” “merger” “expansion” - “lower costs” “cost savings” “higher profits” “benefits” you should bring this concept in !!
