And I seek refuge in You from all evil, immediate and delayed, what I know of it and what I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for the good that Your servant and Your Prophet asked You for, and I seek refuge in You from the evil that Your servant and Your Prophet sought refuge from. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and for whatever brings me closer to it in word or deed, and I seek refuge in You from the Fire and from whatever brings me closer to it in word or deed. And I ask You to make every decree You decree for me good."_ [Musnad Imam Ahmad] ---

*How do you make the most of #Yawm_Arafah?* The Day of Arafah is not a day for cleaning houses, nor for shopping, nor for sleeping, nor for resting!! If you must, then use the two days before Arafah for that. *Yawm Arafah*: It is a day honored by Allah, a day exalted by Allah. It is a day in which Allah boasts to the inhabitants of the heavens about the people of Arafah. It is a day of liberation from the Fire. It is a day of obedience and striving in worship. And the best supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafah. So strive that not a single breath of yours passes except in an act of obedience or a deed by which you draw near to Allah. For if you had a jewel from the jewels of this world, you would be grieved to lose it. So how can you waste the best day of the days of this world?! *A schedule of worship for the Day of Arafah:* 1. Sleep early on the night of Arafah so you can have strength for the worship of Allah. 2. Wake up before Fajr to have suhoor with the intention of fasting this day. 3. Then pray 2 or at least 4 rak‘ahs, and supplicate to your Lord while prostrating for the good of this world and the Hereafter. Thank Him for allowing you to reach a day in which mercy and forgiveness descend. 4. Before Fajr, spend time seeking forgiveness so that you may be written with Allah among those who seek forgiveness in the pre-dawn hours. 5. Prepare for Fajr prayer 5 minutes before the adhan, and feel that your sins are falling with the last drop of water during wudu. 6. Pray Fajr and remain in your prayer place until 15 minutes after sunrise to gain the reward of a complete Hajj and Umrah, as mentioned by our Prophet ﷺ in the hadith. 7. Begin takbeer immediately after the salam: _Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha illa Allah Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, wa lillahi al-hamd._ 8. You are now in your prayer place until sunrise. Recite Quran, glorify Allah, say _la ilaha illa Allah_, praise Allah, send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, and do not forget the morning adhkar. 9. Now you have a choice!! If you can avoid sleeping the entire day, do not waste a single second except in dhikr and du‘a, and be certain of being answered. Or sleep for an hour, intending by it to gain strength for the worship of Allah. 10. Then wake up, make wudu, and pray at least 4 rak‘ahs of Duha prayer. Vary your acts of worship so you don’t get bored: takbeer, dhikr, recitation, sending blessings on the Prophet ﷺ. And increase in saying: _La ilaha illa Allah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulk wa lahul hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer._ 11. Pray Dhuhr, make takbeer, glorify Allah, and read some Quran. 12. Pray Asr, make takbeer, and say the evening adhkar. 13. Begin supplication with humility and ask Allah for all your needs in this world and the Hereafter. Remember that on this day two times of answered prayer come together: - The last hour of Asr on Arafah - And the supplication of a fasting person Do not forget to supplicate for your oppressed Muslim brothers everywhere. And make a portion of your du‘a for the deceased Muslims who had hope in us before they died. 14. Supplicate to Allah that the sun of the Day of Arafah does not set except that you are among those freed from the Fire. May Allah make us and you among those freed from the Fire and among the accepted. ---

𝟲 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗭𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹-𝗙𝗶𝘁𝗿 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗸𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗵 𝗮𝗹-𝗙𝗮𝘄𝘇𝗮𝗻. 1) Zakat al-Fitr is the charity that a Muslim distributes on behalf of himself and others at the end of Ramadan. 2) Zakat al-Fitr is obligatory upon every Muslim, whether male or female, young or old. 3)There are two great wisdoms behind the obligation of Zakat al-Fitr: Firstly, for the one fasting because it compensates for the deficiencies in one's fast because good deeds erase bad deeds. Secondly, for society, because feeding those in need brings about love and joy amongst the people, especially the poor and needy. 4)The amount of Zakat al-Fitr should not be less than one saa' of food, whether it be dates, barley, raisins, cheese, etc. Any food that the people eat. One saa' is equivalent to approximately 2.25 kg. (5 Ibs) [i.e., four average-sized, two-handed scoops) 5) Zakat al-Fitr that is not distributed in the form of food, such as in the form of money or other than that, is not sufficient because this opposes what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded and the actions of the Companions. 6) Zakat al-Fitr must be distributed before the 'Eid prayer. It is best to distribute it in the morning of 'Eid because its intent is to suffice the poor and needy so they do not need to ask anyone on the day of 'Eid, and they can enjoy the day along with those who are more fortunate. It is also permissible to distribute the Zakat al-Fit a day or two before the day of 'Eid. As for the one who distributes it after the 'Eid prayer, it is not considered Zakat al-Fitr; rather, it is considered ordinary charity. [Paraphrased from Exp. Buloogh al-Maram (4/457-465)]
