⚠️ RVN: node update & chain reorg A critical KAWPOW header-validation flaw has been found in the Ravencoin node and actively exploited since Aug 7. Invalid, near-zero-work blocks appeared (first at height 4487776) that crash nodes — after a restart the node stops syncing. We've shipped an emergency patch — v4.6.1.1-hf1. It rejects the forged blocks from 4487776, adds a checkpoint at the last clean block 4487775, and rebuilds its database instead of halting. What it means for miners: — during the transition there will be a chain reorg; — blocks from the forged branch after 4487776 won't enter the healthy chain; — pool payouts may be delayed during the reorg. This is temporary, nothing is lost. If you run your own node, update: stop the node, replace the binary, start it again. No -reindex, no manual steps. The first start takes several hours while the node rebuilds and settles at height 4487775, rejecting the bad branch (bad-blk-height errors are expected until the honest chain overtakes the forgery). In a couple of days, once the healthy chain overtakes the current tip, the network will be clean and back to normal.
