🗞️ Mar 12th, 2026: Citizens across Chennai have been lining up at fuel ⛽️ stations since last night amid fears of a possible petrol and diesel shortage linked to the ongoing West Asia conflict. As of 8.30am there is no shortage fuel in Chennai, but expect long queues.

🗞️ Mar 11th, 2026: MTC has introduced a premium electric bus 🚌 (golden colour) service featuring cushioned seats, Wi-Fi, charging ports, and a guaranteed seat for every passenger. Pre-booking tickets through Chennai One 📲 is mandatory before boarding the bus. The service will initially operate on two routes: *P570S*: Siruseri IT Park to MGR Koyambedu (CMBT) and *P91*: Thiruvanmiyur to KCBT Kilambakkam

🗞️ Mar 10th, 2026: Chennai Hotels Association has appealed for continuous supply of commercial LPG ⛽️ to restaurants and the food 🍱 industry. The association warned that the Centre’s temporary suspension of commercial LPG supply due to shortages could severely disrupt restaurant operations and food services in Chennai. Citizens may see reduced menu items 🍜 and price increases ⬆️ from today.
