After completing QGSS'26 (Quantum Global Summer School), I've returned to the another amazing course by John Watrous and passed the exam, where I've learned from the query model which is a petri dish for quantum algorithms, to the quantum algorithms like Grover's alg. for unstructured search in quadratic improvement over classical alg., Shor's alg. the for order finding (famous for potential solving RSA factorization crypto problem) etc. LinkedIn post
IBM has recently acquired HRL labs who have made the progress with the silicon qubit based QPU, which requires much less resources to scale. IBM's main qubit implementation is based on the superconducting qubits and HRL's based on quantum dots via silicon qubits. Imagine you're studying quantum information and learning about no-cloning theorem for qubits, and then one day morning, Sabine Hossenfelder posts a video where it's stated that no-cloning theorem needs a refinement 😁 Experimental demonstration that qubits can be cloned at will, if encrypted with a single-use decryption key. https://arxiv.org/pdf/2602.10695

Quantum error correction and fault tolerance: A comprehensive tutorial https://arxiv.org/pdf/2605.29137
My presentation's agenda: - First principles. Quantum information vs Classical Shannon's - Landauer's principle - NAND gates for CPUs - Reversible gates - P, NP(C) problems - CHSH game
Received books for the Quantum computing self-education. Though the quantum sensing is already ready for the production. UK rail network has been recently improved with the Quantum navigation that does not need any GPS. See the post
Going to present about the quantum circuits at the local Astana 2600 meetup.
Passed the Basics of Quantum Information exam by IBM! Amazing introduction to the Quantum Computing by IBM Quantum Education, led by John Watrous! From the understanding of the classical information and smooth comparison with the quantum information, up to the basic quantum circuits and the CHSH game. Will definitely continue this journey and already ordered books suggested by Olivia Lanes. Copied from my Linkedin Post
Found a free PDF: https://sites.math.rutgers.edu/~zeilberg/EM25/susskind.pdf Quantum mechanics - the theoretical minimum What You Need to Know to start doing physics by Leonard Susskind, one of the string theory fathers. Also him, talking about Quantum Computers at Lex Fridman's podcast.
Presentation was programmed by me with Google Gemini assistance, based on the manim-slides engine. I've left references for some taken screenshots, code. Code is available here. https://github.com/novitoll/physics/blob/master/2025/2026/main.py
2600 Qazaqstan! Agenda (1 hour presentation, might be vague) - Old quantum physics (1900 - 1925) - Blackbody radiation - Bohr hydrogen model - de Broglie waves - Classical wave function - Schrödinger equation (TISE) - Heisenberg inequality - Commuting, Average value, Dirac notation - Probability distribution (Born rule) - Quantum states (orbits) - Superposition - Copenhagen interpretation of Quantum Mechanics - Bell’s inequality cc: @novitoll_ch

I barely completed my presentation last week. It was my first experience with the iPad drawing math formulas, and I didn't like it. It's 2025, so presentations should be made via program, duh Seems, much better, but time consuming. 🙄
