3. How can competitions affect people's motivation? powerful motivational effect, a concrete goal and a deadline, establish a training routine, remain disciplined, casually - whenever feels like it, a fixed target to work towards, following a schedule, monitor their pace, increase their endurance, healthy - instrinsic motivation, entirely focus on rankings and rewards, obsessed - lose interest in the activity itelse.
2. Do you think schools should organize more competitions? not " the more the better", creating a hierarchy of winners and losers, tournaments, apply knowledge in practical situations, quieter students discover abilities, broaden students' understanding of their own capabilities, avoid turning every activity into a contest.
Part 3️⃣ 1. Why do some people dislike competitions? not everyone enjoys, more achievement-oriented, personal progress, unnecessary pressure, a visible ranking system, fear of failure, look incompetent, freezing in front of an audience, being judged, social comparison.
Article 18 ☁️ Some people think that the main benefit of international cooperation is in the protection of the environment, while others believe that the main interest is in the world of business. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion

Stuck at Reading? Well, if you keep analysing passages carefully like this and actively look for the paraphrases and connections between the questions and the text, your score will improve with time and consistent practice. Just be patient. It takes time. P.S: I was stuck at 6.5 for around four months before I finally managed to push my score to 7+.
Part 1 Reading 🧠 lean towards, the tactile experience of holding, turning the pages, less like a chore, reading on the go, whenever i have a spare minute, as an outlet. take my time and savour each moment, rush through sth I am immersed in, get the general meaning, skim through quickly, skip irrelevant sections, speed takes precedence over getting every last detail. shorter attention spans, constantly surrounded by, stay focused on a text for an extended period of time, often in a rush, pick out the key points, processing every detail.
The table compares the production and consumption of potatoes across several nations. Overall, higher production levels do not translate into higher consumption in most countries, as Asia dominates potato production despite reporting marginal levels of intake. By contrast, Europe, known for its highest intake, comes second in production, followed by North America. Notably, the amount of potatoes produced is higher than consumed, though South&Central America and Africa—nations characterized by overall low consumption and outputs—exhibited the opposite. Potato production is generally higher across the board. Asia tops the list by standing out for its exceptionally high volumes of output, at a substantial 131.2 million tonnes. This is closely followed by Europe, with around 126.3 million tonnes of yield. The figures for other nations are nowhere close the leading producers’ potato yields, though North America ranks third, making up 24.7 million tonnes. Africa and South&Central America account for almost similar levels, but the former leads slightly ahead with 16.4 million tonnes as opposed to a mere 15.6 million tonnes recorded in the latter. However, potato intake varies considerably by country and is marginal in the face of large quantities of output. It is in Europe where people report the greatest consumption, at around 96.1 kg per person. North America follows at a distant second, with around 58 kg per individual—twice as high as the figures for Asia and South&Central America, both demonstrating closer levels of 25.8 and 23.6 kg, respectively. Conversely, Africa has the lowest consumption, at just 14.1 kg per person, remaining at the bottom of rankings. #report

In the past, people lived in the same place in their life. However, it is common that now people change their place and often live in different places during their life. What are the reasons for this? Is it a positive or negative development? Living in one place for a long period of time has become a thing of the past, with the majority of individuals choosing to reside in multiple locations throughout their lives. Opportunities and a long for experience are among the main drivers, and I believe that this trend is largely positive. Better opportunities abroad or in other cities are a common reason for increased migration among individuals. In search of vocational or educational progress, many people move to other, more developed countries to reside for at least a short period of time, after which climbing the career ladder or landing a more prestigious job can become easier. Nations like South Korea or Germany attract a significant number of students from all over the globe with their advanced technology and competitive pay, while less strict cross-cultural mobility further amplifies this process compared to the past when people could rarely travel to other regions. As a result, most individuals can earn a good living to sustain their families or pursue tertiary education abroad. Another major factor lies in the experience. Increasingly, people have started to value experience over stability or being confined to only one area without exploring the world and other cultures. Rarely does remaining in one city for long bring new experiences and cultural exposure, but traveling and living in different destinations can promote cultural understanding, empathy, and bonds. A Turkish person who visits Japan can significantly expand their horizons, observe the culture first-hand, and enjoy a more dynamic lifestyle. From my view, the prevailing shift is primarily a positive development. Beyond the above-mentioned benefits, skill acquisition is equally compelling. Regular mobility and migration can help people foster their adaptability, flexibility, and resilience since a new place, job, neighborhood, or university all require constantly adapting, building new friendships, or altering their previous habits. These skills can hardly be developed while living in one place for several decades, without stepping into another country. Although constantly relocating can feel mentally draining and physically exhausting, one also may become more self-reliant and expand their social network. To conclude, the major catalysts for the growing trend of residing in multiple locations are career prospects and cultural exposure. Despite some temporary concerns regarding adaptation, I maintain that this shift is predominantly advantageous, as it not only helps people advance professionally but also become more well-rounded.
