What if the safest-looking model is simply the one that’s best at passing safety evaluations? What happens when an AI agent escapes the environment designed to measure it? These questions hint at a broader challenge: our ability to build increasingly capable AI is advancing faster than our ability to understand, evaluate and control its behaviour. The Technical AI Safety Fellowship (TAIS) is a semester-long programme offering a structured introduction to technical AI safety.
