artfight really make me realize how much I love making gift art for people. unlike commissions, there's no obligation about it, so I'm allowed to get silly with it and try out new things (that's why so many of my artfight attacks this year were experimental). if I try something and it doesn't work out, I can just quit at any time (though weirdly enough, telling myself this makes it more likely that I won't quit and I end up with something I would have just normally given up on.) anyways, I have a couple actual commissions on my plate, but whenever I have free time I want to continue making free art for people! soooo.....

artfight has completely revitalized my art drive, we're so back chat I literally made more attacks during this artfight than I did last year when I had the challenge to draw every day (12 last year vs 16 this year)
