Nevada police bodycam captured a suspect’s crypto seed phrase. The wallet was drained of more than $1.1 million shortly after the video was published. Imagine your seed phrase becoming public record. Protect it: Mix the words • Add fake ones • Use a cipher. This is an old video from 2022 but IMHO it’s important to keep in mind this incident. I’ve personally heard several real stories, when thieves filmed people’s phone screens over their shoulders with cameras and simply stole the crypto right there. That’s why using Tails OS, Whonix, or Kodachi (this looks like it might be the one- can anyone recognize the interface?) with automated data self-destruction is always a smart move… In the footage, two police officers can be seen “working” on the suspect’s computer. One pulls out a flash drive and plugs it in, only for the data to start self-destructing and wipe everything… As reported, the suspected owner of the deep-web marketplace escaped punishment thanks to a police officer’s mistake and was recently released. On February 1, 2003, the Space Shuttle Columbia broke apart during re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere. All seven astronauts on board lost their lives. Debris was scattered across a vast area of Texas and Louisiana. But among those wreckage pieces, scientists made an astonishing discovery. Inside aluminum containers (part of the BRIC experiment), they found living roundworms - nematodes Caenorhabditis elegans. These tiny creatures survived the fall from an altitude of 32–42 km, the intense heating of atmospheric re-entry, and the impact with the ground. Live worms were recovered from four of the five found canisters. They also isolated a hardy soil bacterium, Microbispora, from the debris - it too had endured the extreme heat and impact. These findings became a real-world argument in support of the panspermia theory: the idea that life (even multicellular organisms) could potentially travel between planets inside meteorites or space debris, surviving the harshest conditions.
