In 1937–1938, the communist apparatus of terror – the NKVD, carried out the Polish Operation, one of the most forgotten and at the same time one of the bloodiest acts of genocide of the 20th century. By order of Yezhov, our compatriots were murdered, tortured, and sent to the gulags solely because they were Polish. Teachers, peasants, workers, officers, clergymen, entire Polish families, were killed. This was a planned extermination of the Polish minority in the Eastern Borderlands and deep within the Soviet Union. In the span of just several months, at least 111,000 Poles were murdered – 44.9% of all victims of the NKVD’s national operations. In the eyes of the Kremlin, it was the Poles who were the greatest enemy of the system. Tens of thousands murdered and countless more lives shattered, this was the price our compatriots paid for preserving their Polish identity under Soviet tyranny. To remember the victims is our duty! Let us remember who our true enemy is!

Seventeen years ago today, Russian forces launched an unprovoked invasion of Georgia, igniting the August War—a brutal conflict that lasted several days but left a lasting scar. Hundreds of Georgian soldiers and civilians paid the ultimate price, and our lands—particularly the Tskhinvali region—fell under temporary Russian occupation. To stwierdzenie nie tylko stoi w sprzeczności z faktami, ale również stanowi próbę usprawiedliwiania agresji i odwracania odpowiedzialności za wojnę. Niezależnie od własnych poglądów na temat polityki ukraińskiej, uważamy, że takie wypowiedzi są po prostu haniebne i nie powinny mieć miejsca w poważnej debacie publicznej.
