🛡 ChibaTunnel A new third-party dVPN solution has been created by the Sentinel community using the project's rich array of publicly-available developer resources: ChibaTunnel, released late last month, is described as "a cyberpunk-styled desktop dVPN client engineered for absolute privacy and censorship resistance." The creator of the application is Tkd-Alex (Alessandro Maggio), a validator and prolific Sentinel contributor responsible for the project's JavaScript SDK, co-creation of the Python SDK, various contributions to Meile dVPN, and development of the NodeSpawner utility. Tkd-Alex developed the application primarily for fun, but also told P2P News that he intended to demonstrate the capabilities of the SDK and encourage other community members to try their hand at developing apps. Features Crafted with Electron, React, and TypeScript with the assistance of AI and the aforementioned SDK, ChibaTunnel offers secure access to the Sentinel dVPN network via a stylish globe interface. Bookmarking and advanced filtering are available for nodes. ChibaTunnel is already available on all three major desktop platforms (Windows, Mac, and Linux) and contains advanced VPN features such as a kill switch, configurable DNS, and split tunneling. Multilingual support is also included. Download The application can be downloaded from the GitHub repository linked below. Full documentation of features, systems, and security measures is also available there. If problems are encountered, users can provide the AI with code and ask how it was solved. Issues and pull requests on GitHub by those who want to help improve ChibaTunnel are also highly appreciated. ⬇️ Download [GitHub] Related ➡️ Team Announcement [Official] ➡️ JavaScript SDK Update [P2P News]
🔭 Scout Leaderboard The Sentinel team has launched a new leaderboard for participants in the Scout AI data layer beta. leaderboard.sentinel.co Those who run the Scout mining application can now compare their contributions against other community members, either all-time or filtered by "season." Other data, including the total number of participants and the decentralised network's aggregate uptime in years, is also available on the dashboard. 🥇 The current all-time leader is el bandito (@greeniydbandit), who is just thirteen days away from reaching an entire year of uptime. To participate in the Scout AI Data Layer beta, join the testing group and check the pinned messages for the latest APK build.
⬇️ Cosmostation Closes Validator Cosmostation, one of the chain's longest-tenured and most popular validators, abruptly ended their staking service on Sentinel and twenty-nine other chains last Wednesday. Any remaining stakers should redelegate as soon as possible in order to avoid missing any more rewards. There has been no word yet from Cosmostation about whether their wallet will continue to support P2P. [Source] Related ➡️ Mintscan Support Ends [P2P News]
⬜️ 1.5 Million All-Time Users Sentinel's dVPN network has now surpassed 1.5 million unique users since the launch of mainnet in 2021. The rise of this metric has accelerated over the past two years in particular—the one million-user milestone was less than a year ago. The dVPN network has seen an astonishing 229k unique users this month, making June 2026 the single highest-traffic month in Sentinel's history. With four days still remaining, that total has already more than doubled the previous record (103k in July 2025). 📊 dVPN Network Statistics
💵 Update on MEXC Situation The team has provided more clarification on the ST (special treatment) designation which was recently applied to the P2P-USDT pair on MEXC, as well as some significant new information regarding another potential new listing in the future. 1.) Sentinel has now met all conditions set by MEXC to have the designation removed, aside from aggregate number of user deposits. 2.) The team is in the process of transferring funds to the exchange to address this. Though not vital, any help from community members with existing MEXC accounts would be appreciated, according to ProjectAutonomy of the foundation. 3.) Maintaining the listing on MEXC is a matter of high priority for the team due to one additional, previously undisclosed reason: P2P is apparently eligible to be listed on yet another top ten CEX, and maintaining Sentinel's existing listings on KuCoin and MEXC is key to moving forward with that. 🛡 Status Update on Shield Sentinel Shield dVPN is currently undergoing a full refactor and will return to app stores (including Google Play) once the new update is released, according to the team today. [Source]
⬜️ Plan Manager Back Up Issues which temporarily brought down the new dVPN Plan Manager web utility have been resolved, according to the team. Community beta testing may now resume. [Source]
💵 ST Tag on MEXC The Sentinel team says that they are in communication with MEXC about the ST (special treatment) tag that was added to the P2P-USDT trading pair last week, alleviating fears within the community about a potential delisting. "Sentinel is in discussion with MEXC to meet all requirements," said ProjectAutonomy today, adding that this was likely due to an insufficient sum of P2P being deposited on the exchange. [Source] P2P was listed on MEXC, a top-ten CEX, less than three months ago. An identical ST designation situation was resolved with KuCoin in January 2025.

🏛 Proposal 71 Open for Voting Proposal 71, which unifies Sentinel's on-chain governance procedure into one document, is now open for voting. 🔍 Explorer [P2PScan] 📄 Full Proposal Text [Common] Background Years ago, Sentinel stakeholders passed two measures which laid the formal procedural groundwork for introducing governance proposals on the chain: • Proposal 12 (passed August 2022) mandated a seven-day discussion period for proposals on Common before they can be submitted to the chain for voting. • Proposal 29 (passed July 2023) expanded upon Proposal 12 by introducing a tiered system, wherein proposals may undergo expedited discussion periods depending on factors such as technicality or time sensitivity. Rationale Proposal 71 argues that the age and separation of the two prior proposals could make learning the rules for chain governance difficult for newcomers to the project. It addresses this by consolidating the rules and procedures they established into a single structured document, while also introducing a handful of new additions including a summary of proposer rights, definitions of the four types of votes, and a stipulation that proposals must be written in English. A new vote also provides stakeholders and validators who arrived after 2022/23 with an opportunity to read and agree to the rules on their own terms. Related ➡️ Proposal 12 Passes [P2P News]
👰♀️ Multihop Arrives on Sentinel Bitveil, a validator group known for creating the Bluefrens NFT project, node utilities such as dVPN Node Monitor, and making contributions to Meile dVPN, have just delivered one of the Sentinel dVPN protocol's longest-awaited features: BlueCLI dVPN, a, open source, lightweight CLI client launched by Bitveil yesterday, offers multi-hop routing on Sentinel for the first time ever. "BlueCLI allows users to build a chain of V2Ray nodes. This makes it harder for node operators to understand both who the user is and what they are doing, bringing a new privacy layer to Sentinel... More V2Ray node usage means more traffic, more on-chain subscription activity, and higher earnings for dVPN node operators." 📣 Official Announcement For testing of the multi-hop function, Bitveil recommends V2Ray providers such as themselves, DIGGO, SuchNode, or Nibiru. They also advise using different providers for entry and exit nodes. Other available features include wallet importing/creation, node search, and subscription management. Wireguard connections are also possible, although they will not work for multihop. BlueCLI is currently available for Windows and Linux, and can be downloaded from the GitHub repository linked below. ⬇️ Download [GitHub] Bitveil has invited the Sentinel community and node operators to test the client and provide feedback on their Discord server.
🔭 The Future of Scout The Sentinel team appears to be scaling back their aspirations for the Scout AI Data Layer, according to an announcement yesterday by ProjectAutonomy: "With regards to data scraping, Sentinel will be focused on offering application creators with the ability to allow their users to provide data scraping services from their device in return for bandwidth used. Sentinel will not be focused on providing a user facing platform or the infrastructure to conduct data scraping operations. After a tremendous amount of deliberation and review—as well as discussions with individuals from some of the largest data scraping organizations in the world—the Grass model is unsustainable and individuals are not getting paid for data scraping services. No serious data scraping service in the world utilizes a network where individuals are getting paid for their bandwidth. All serious data scraping operations happen with user consent available." [1] [2] ProjectAutonomy later thanked participants in the protocol's beta testing program (which will be continuing), and promised a major update down the line, including a leaderboard for scrapers.
