I am always trying to convey something that can’t be conveyed, to explain something which is inexplicable, to tell about something I have in my bones, something which can be expressed only in the bones.

  • On my Jane Eyre                      running ferral on the                      Heath type shit              Charlotte Brontë did not write a woman who needed saving, she wrote a woman who saved herself. Jane is not beautiful by society's standards, nor is she rich, nor docile. But she is sovereign. She doesn’t want to be kept, or saved, or praised for suffering. She wants to be seen, to be equal. That’s why she leaves Rochester. Not because she doesn’t love him, but because she loves herself too. When she comes back, it’s not a happy ending,it’s a just one. He is broken now, no longer above her, and finally, they meet as equals. That is love on her terms. Because in Jane’s world, to stay whole is the bravest act. And the rest is resistance.

  • What is pomegranate             if not bleeding a heart?                                    On the table, the pomegranate has already begun to spill itself open. The seeds dark as garnets, soft as wounds, scatter across the cloth, staining it with the kind of red that never truly fades. A book, half-read, rests beside pages curling at the corners like a sigh caught between ribs. Someone has underlined a sentence, and though she does not know who, she can feel their longing and pressed into the ink. The air tastes of citrus and cardamom, of something on the verge of sweetness but not quite there yet. The window is open. And she, with her mouth stained red, wrapped in a naki print tiered a-line maxi dress by @saloniofficial that decided to take the shape of a woman, wonders if she has always been waiting for this.

  • “Madre, why must a woman suffer for love, yet be blamed when she does?” My dear, because love for a woman, is duty, not desire. “And sex? They say it is power, yet it ruins a woman but not a man.” Oh my dear, because a woman’s body belongs to society, not herself. “And politica? Why must a woman beg for a seat at the table?” Because men write the rules, and a woman who questions them is called dangerous. “Then what of birth and death? Ah, my Love, a woman is celebrated at birth, tolerated in life, and forgotten at her death, unless, of course, she breaks the rules.                                                              #𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒂𝑨𝒍𝑴𝒂𝒅𝒓𝒆
