Johnson of robbed a Brink’s employee at gunpoint outside an AT&T store in Elyria, Ohio. Johnson then ran into an apartment complex, where doorbell footage shows him approaching a mother who was unloading groceries with her children and forcing her inside at gunpoint. Two of her children remained outside while the mother, her baby and 5-year-old were inside. Elyria Police Officer Ali Sabeiha arrived seconds later, kicked open the apartment door and fatally shot Johnson during the confrontation. Johnson later died at the hospital. No civilians or officers were injured.
