February 8 Protest Against China’s Super Embassy at the Former Royal Mint in London (EC3N 4AB): The protest began at 2:00 PM on February 8, 2025, with turnout far exceeding expectations. Police designated a protest zone in an attempt to contain the demonstrators, but the crowd size surpassed initial estimates. At one point, protesters outside the Royal Mint were forced onto the road due to space constraints. British police arrested two Hongkongers who were standing on the road outside the designated protest area, but the congestion on the roadway remained unresolved. During the demonstration, a participant collapsed. police temporarily sealed off all lanes of traffic in front of the Royal Mint. At its peak, all four lanes in both directions were affected, requiring additional traffic officers to be deployed for temporary traffic redirection.
