This year's WARC fundraiser is special! 🌊https://gofund.me/9f3a84cd 🌊 For the first time, a team of homegrown young volunteers, under the oversight of our partnering veteran educators and trainers , will be organizing THEIR OWN project! 🌳🌳 Many lessons have been learned over the years- WARC can build on its history. Instead of seeking new schools, we are looking to upgrade the capacities of our old partner in Kegeyli School 12. Kegeyli is one of the hardest regions in terms of economic opportunities, and is not doing great with water access either. We are working with local partners to build a greenhouse and create cost effective groundwater access via solar-power pumps. 🥕We want to train our volunteers coming from Yale, Williams College and various schools in Tashkent in effective grassroots project building. We want to provide a venue for new partners to experiment with ecological innovation. And most importantly, we want to show the high-schoolers in Kegeyli that we are ready to work with them in the long run to help them become a more climate resilient community, with clean water and positive prospects for the future.
