GSI Installation Process • This guide is intended for users who already have prior experience with this topic. If you do not have the necessary technical knowledge, it is recommended that you do not proceed. • As a first step, your device’s bootloader must be unlocked. If the bootloader is unlocked, you can continue. • Install the Fastboot drivers from Google’s official website. • Obtain any AOSP GSI file. (@GsiLabs) • The current ROM type is not critical; it has been confirmed to boot successfully on both Global and China ROMs. The ROM I will be using: HyperOS 3.0.303 China. • Make sure to back up your data and remember that the installed GSI is universal. In case of any issues, they should be shared in the relevant community group. • To enable Fastbootd mode, completely power off the device. After it shuts down, press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously until the “fastboot” text appears on the screen. • When the orange Fastboot interface appears, run the following command: fastboot reboot fastboot • You have now reached the stage where the GSI installation will take place, i.e., the blue Fastbootd screen. • Flash the GSI file with the following command: fastboot flash system gsi.img • After the installation is complete, run: fastboot reboot bootloader • Flash the vbmeta file: fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img (LINK) • Wipe the data: fastboot -w • Gain root access: fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img (LINK) • Switch to recovery mode: fastboot reboot recovery • When the HyperOS recovery screen appears, perform the “format data” operation. The sequence is as follows: Volume Down > Power > Volume Down > Power > Volume Down > Power > Power. • Reboot the device. Select the first option in the menu and press the Power button twice. • After the system boots, install the KernelSU-Next.apk file.
