Congratulations to our Republic Polytechnic School of Engineering - RP SEG students for winning the Southeast Asia Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Design Competition (Diploma level), organised by RP’s Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE RP) Student Chapter, in collaboration with Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation - APU! 🎉 Competing against 35 teams from Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, Year 1 RP SEG Common Engineering Programme students—Kaung Myat Min, Myat Bhone Khant, Thant Thuriya Tun, and Arfan Amirun Bin Arfiee—proudly represented RP. Their winning design is a system that streamlines the car painting process, ensuring efficiency and smooth delivery while providing operators with an effective way to control and monitor the automation. “We were exposed to the basics of PLC in the classroom and wanted to hone our expertise in this area,” Myat Min said. “To prepare for the competition, we also learnt from YouTube tutorials on PLC systems and participated in a workshop provided by the organisers. That was the only hands-on training we had before entering the competition.” Team Kbit was thrilled to win first place. “It was amazing to see how much we learned throughout the process, using our knowledge to craft the solution. We've collaborated seamlessly as a team, supporting each other every step of the way on this journey of continuous learning,” Myat Min said on behalf of the team.

hi everyone, the results of phase 1 will be out at 4pm. Scenario 1: received conditional offer: a. if you choose to accept, press the accept button. if you do not press the button, it means you did not accept the offer. b. if you choose to reject, can press the reject button Scenario 2: did not receive conditional offer: 1. do not need to do anything if you choose not to accept, reject or you are not offered in phase 1, do note that your choices in phase 1 will be automatically ported over to phase 2. you can edit and rank your preferred diplomas in phase 2.
