Causing Hatred In Communities Due to Personal Issues and Seeking Position. ليس الخبر كالعيان By Shaikh Uways At-Taweel (hafidhahullah) wrote recently as follows: “From history, many of the haters follow the following steps… والله أعلم 1) Starts as a personal issue (or masked as one), or personal endeavours for position. 2) Then attacks those individuals they have personal hatred for. 3) Then attacks anyone close or they assume is close to them through social media via soliloquies or vague speech. 4) Starts searching (التتبع) for mistakes of the above individuals (that are salafees). 5) Starts taking any mistake/ slip and make this the main issue. 6) Targets some of the salafees hoping to massage their egos and get their support. 7) If the splitting doesn’t work… openly works with anyone that will fulfil point number one. May Allah protect us and aid us in cleaning our hearts from any hatred or غل (rancour) for any Salafee upon correctness.” [End of quote]

  • ‎Ḥasan al-Baṣrī [رحمه الله] used to say: "The believer is astute (kayis); when he looks, he sees, and when he thinks, he takes warning. He then takes to his worldly life, demolishes it and establishes his Hereafter; he does not demolish his Hereafter to establish his worldly life. He remains upon this manner until he meets his Lord, Who is pleased with him and who pleases Him. On the other hand, the hypocrite competes over his worldly life while being blinded from his Hereafter. He took the worldly life as his deity, so woe to him! Was he created for it? Was he commanded to strive for it? The deluded will come to realisation on the Day when: 'The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.' • ‎Counsel to Treat Women Well ‎[1/A]: The Prophet (ﷺ) said (1): ‎Whoever believes in Allah and The Last Day, then he [or she] must not harm their neighbor. I counsel you, and counsel one another, to treat women well. They have been created from a rib, and the most crooked part of the rib is its uppermost. ‎If you attempt to straighten it, you will break it; if you leave it alone, it will remain crooked. So, treat women well. ‎[1/B]: The Prophet (ﷺ) said (2): ‎If you find pleasure in her, it will be so while crookedness remains. If you try to straighten her, you will break her, and breaking her is divorcing her. ‎Glimpses of Husbandly Compassion (3): ‎1. Women must be treated well. ‎2. This narration clarifies the nature of women. ‎3. Understanding the nature of women aids a husband in being patient and forbearing. ‎4. The striking example of a broken rib and divorce, both contain pain and difficulty in repair. ‎5. The affairs of the worldly-life are flawed, and things are not always as expected or desired. ‎_______ ‎(1): Collected by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim. ‎(2): Collected by Muslim. ‎(3): See Explanation of Buloogh al-Maraam, Sh. al-Bassaam. https://x.com/consultftc/status/1734742887861027041?s=46&t=GRwMStsGGbe7vt_Et_FKlw

  • Woe to the Heavy Sleeper! Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله said: "O you whose sleep is heavier than that of a leopard when it comes to your deliverance (from punishment), you have wasted time more precious than jewels. If you catch sight of a sin, you leap upon it like a tiger, but if you catch a glimpse of a good deed, you dodge and evade it like a fox. When you interact with people, you are as treacherous as a wolf. While you commit injustice, you boldly step forward like a lion, and you seize a trust, just like a buzzard snatches his prey." • Worship or Sleep in the Night? Ibn al Jawzī رحمة الله عليه said: "Hasān ibn Abī Sinān used to feign asleep, until his wife would fall asleep so that he could get up and pray. When al-Rabī' ibn Khaytham used to be in a state of distress, weeping and excessive worship at night, his mother used to say to him: 'O son, have you murdered someone [because of which you are in such great distress and weeping]?' He would reply: 'yes... I have killed myself!' The mother of 'Umar ibn al-Munkadir used to say to him: 'I wish to see you sleeping for once.' He said: 'O mother, whoever witnesses the night looming over his head, while fearing dying in his sleep, should ought never to be able to sleep. O mother, when night comes, I become too frightened, so it passes without having performed as much worship as I would have wished to.' One of the ascetics was told: 'Be gentle with yourself [i.e. do not exhaust yourself with excessive worship], he replied: 'Gentleness is not what I am after [i.e. seeking the comfort of the immortal life, not this life]. Ummayah al-Shāmī used to cry and weeping in the masjid until the weeping became loud. The ruler of those regions sent him a latter saying: 'You are disturbing those who pray with your excessive crying and loud weeping so hold yourself back a little.' When he read it, he cried and said: 'The grief of the Day of Judgement has bequeathed me endless tears. I gain some relief by shedding some of them sometimes'." • The Fragrance of Late Nights Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله said: "The fragrance of late nights is the nourishment of souls whereby they become softened hence enjoying the sense of tranquility, cooling down the heat of their yearning and delivering their letters of love. He whose heart is in distress finds tranquility and comfort when feeling the breeze, despite its disturbance. Yet, understanding the uttered words of this breeze can only be understood by the one yearning [for his Lord], for conversation about lightning is only attractive to the lovers [i.e. worshippers]. They secluded themselves, with the One Whom they love, inside the house of supplications, therefore He clothes them with garments that indicate their connection to Him, and perfumes them with the scent of good treatment. Indeed, the late part of the night is too precious for words, so they recieve the dawn while the signs of their nearness to Allah are apparent on them. The odour of their worship smells out their clothes, leaving you, O you sleeping corpse, to grieve over your lose! O you, naked and heedless, weep, for you neither know how they spent their night nor are you aware of what has happened to them." [Seeds of Admonishment and Reform | Pg 48-49 | Trans: Dār as-Sunnah Publishers]
