They won't release any updates tho. 5.8 is their last version. They said they might release 5.9 if there will be some critical errors to fix tho. Currently they don't even plan 5.9

Learning UE5 is useless, unless you plan to stay and keep using it instead

They will remove Blueprints and replace them entirely with Verse programming language (currently used in UEFN) They will also totally change their architecture (creating actors/pawns of different types etc. which was always confusing to me anyway) In UE6 it will basically work the same as it does in Unity. So you simply just have objects that you assign components to. I find it much more easier to manage. And of course full AI integration in the engine... okay i guess XD The time has come to stop pretending AI is bad. People said the same when steam engines were invented. Maybe we should just use it for good purposes and not to generate brainrot videos lmao That's exactly why if you want to use UE6 in the future... Learn Unity now. Early Access of UE6 is expected to be released by the end of 2027. Full release 12-18 months after. Lot of time to learn

I'm glad they announced what Unreal Engine 6 will be. Thanks to that I know that I should learn Unity instead. Learning UE5 is a waste of time, because UE6 will be a totally different engine
