We have a new faculty member to show you... This character belongs to our background artist. We already snuck him in as an extra in the faculty lounge scene (he's leaning over a couch on the left side) - which meant he already worked at Pinecrest. We needed an art teacher character, so... Reo it is. Is he not the coolest art teacher ever?

Just got a track we're going to use over a sad and bittersweet moment from our composer. I can only hope that Midori and I are able to craft words that can match the emotion in this track. We made a concerted effort to craft the music for episode 2 to be very scene-specific, and hopefully this (and other) emotional tracks will land as hard for the readers as it is for the dev team.

A note on this - since itch.io de-indexes and de-monetizes NSFW projects, there will be two versions of that get released, on two different itch.io pages. That way you have your choice on what version you'd like to read. No story beats will be missed by not playing the NSFW release. When episode 2 releases, if you want to support us through pay-what-you-want, you'll have to do it on the SFW page, as the NSFW will have no payment/donation methods available at all.

Finally figured out where to slot our first NSFW scene into the script with the help of our editor. The initial NSFW scene I had in the script had to be deleted in favor of the narrative (it no longer made sense where it was once we tweaked a couple of scenes before and after it). Sebastien has such an emotional rollercoaster in this issue that we sat back and said, "you know, this man deserves to have some sex after all that." And so, it's back on, and he does (spoilers, I guess, but hey, if you were looking for nukinookie, now you know you're getting it for sure).

A little preview of how our dolls look in their autumn outfits (and how Flint continues to kill it on these, if I can take a moment to make that comment). Nico rocking that classic bear-wear, and Red with his stylish pants once again... If you remember from episode 1, the faculty lounge had dynamic lighting based on the time of day, but we also updated interiors in a lot of the background to reflect the season episode 2 takes place in.

Continuing with another little preview of an upcoming track in episode 2. This one is SO chill and nice and jazzy. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I'm getting excited to ruin readers with episode 2. Now that music for some of the emotionally heavy scenes are done, including a decent amount of the art, I gotta tell you... oof. All the elements are coming together so well and synergizing for maximum sads. Perhaps a weird thing to be proud of, but it's genuinely the saddest thing I've ever written, and I know it'll only get better once it's had sufficient editing passes.

Little sneak preview of a new track that'll be in episode 2 that just got finished!

Flint has finished the final sprite for episode 2. Here's our last new character, Willow, a lemur who's a junior transfer to Pinecrest High. Willow is our first trans character, so we're all excited to add this representation into the series that we previously didn't have.

Lil' teaser for one of the new things we're doing moving forward, in our quest to make things feel a lot like film. So... establishing shot with artwork by Reo! This is one such shot for a special scene in episode 2 that introduces a new character. This is also the new track that will be playing over this very scene.
