"From the perspective of the theory of armed conflict evolution, a prolonged, "painless" war reduces the likelihood of a peaceful settlement; when hostilities are more or less integrated into the logic of normalcy, there is no incentive to seek compromises or make concessions. In such a state of normalcy, any compromise is perceived as an unprovoked, unfair, unilateral concession - a "surrender of ground." It is an unpleasant prospect that wounds both ego and national pride. However, when this normalcy begins to shift - when unpredictability and anxiety start to permeate that very state of affairs - fertile ground emerges for seeking a way out of the situation. In this sense, the intent behind any escalation is ultimately to pave the way for de-escalation, rather than to plunge the world into an abyss of global war and mutual destruction. Yet, the danger inherent in such a scenario is that the specter of global war inevitably looms within arm's reach." Alexey Naumov

The shortages of gas in Russia, which happened because of Ukrainian drones, are gone. It took about two weeks to make gas ⛽ available again. In 21th century gas can just be bought from other countries, lol. And Russia is surrounded by countries who are willingly selling gas. The thing is, you can bomb most of the gas reservoirs but it will just cause some inconvenience, it won't help you win the war 💁🏻♂️

Two young Russian siblings, 17 and 22 years old, recently got missing in Thailand, then found dead. Turns out they were killed by two Cambodian bandits. Cambodians killed the brother and the sister over a bike. For the last two-three decades Thailand was something like an "affordable and easy-to-go resort" for middle class Russians, including me. If such killings keep on going, Thailand will face a significant outflow of tourists
Polish authorities said, a Russian missile hit their territory. Nobody got hurt but you can imagine how it feels. Hope the war won't escalate. There's already so much blood spilled

"At the end of the month, Russia will be offered an aerial truce via Trump and the US - and Moscow will reject it. Zelensky will use this refusal to try to persuade Trump to support Ukraine more actively. These attempts will not succeed" Alexey Naumov
Russian women swept the podium at the European Open Water Swimming Championships taking place in Hungary. In the girls' 5km race for the 14–15 age group, Kira Guseva won gold, Anastasia Sinyakova took silver, and Nelly Petrovskaya claimed bronze. Russian athletes are competing under their national flag and anthem for the first time in several years following the lifting of restrictions by World Aquatics

An eagle 🦅 robbed my boss today. As he was leaving a coffee shop with a cup of coffee and a croissant, an eagle swooped down on him, snatched the croissant, and splashed him with the coffee. Hell, Japan is not an easy level
Greece will be allowed to move Russian gas, despite EU sanctions - Financial Times
I just found a letter with a written complaint from my neighbours downstairs. The letter said, I'm making too much noise by walking and should consider wearing flip flops. Bruh 🙈
With the increase of Ukrainian strikes on warehouses with ordinary goods, more and more Russians are beginning to understand that the war is everybody's issue, not just someone else's
Japan and Russia are resuming student exchange programs which were terminated in 2020. Love it. Hope more countries will follow the same route

I appreciate how honest and straight forward he is. I also like it how he brings in Russian and Ukrainian women from the perspective of Chinese people https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfX52FpfkWo
