  • Tapping 'Record in Background' closes the active dialog and returns you to your home screen while recording continues smoothly in the background. Received at 8:43 AM Viewed 135 times When you open the extension again, it will restore the exact state from where you left off—giving you immediate access to Pause and Stop controls while background recording remains active. Now, whether this gets picked up in the audio playback or not, let me start a test recording. So friends, I have started recording here—I am not sure if it is capturing my voice properly due to the ongoing screen recording. Here is the 'Record in Background' button... Tapping it displays 'Recording continues in the background'... Now let's return to the extension interface and open it again... From here, we can stop the session. Recording saved... The recording has been saved successfully. Recordings button: Recordings (1)... We now have one saved file. Clicking on it reveals details like file size, format, and modification time. Play button, Rename, Share button, Copy Path button (which copies the file path to the clipboard), and Delete button. It offers a rich set of features. Let's hit Play to see if anything was captured... Play... [Recording Audio Playback] "So friends, I have started recording here... I am not sure... if it is capturing my voice... Here is the record in background button, simply clicking this... Recording continues in the background..." Pause... From this view, you can fast-forward, rewind, boost playback volume, or set the recording to loop. Now, let me demonstrate how to delete this file. Delete button... Confirm delete... Recordings: 0... And that's all. Exit Voice Recorder Pro... Exit button... Home screen. Finally, I strongly encourage everyone to carefully read the text labels and notes provided within the app, as many important details have already been written out for your guidance. If you run into any issues while using these features, feel free to drop a comment or ask questions—we are always here to support you. If you spot any bugs in this extension, please let us know right away. Received at 8:43 AM Viewed 145 times

  • Received at 8:43 AM reacted with 👏 Viewed 130 times File naming... Auto-generate file names with timestamp... If you turn this off, you can manually enter custom file names. Next is 'Name Prefix'—this specifies the text placed before the timestamp, such as 'recording_timestamp'. I currently have it set to 'recording', but I could change it to 'Sujan', resulting in 'Sujan_timestamp' as the output file name structure. Max recording seconds... Specified in seconds, I have kept the default value of 3600 (allowing up to a 1-hour recording). If you want a 5-minute limit, set it to 300; for 1 minute, set it to 60; and setting it to 0 allows unlimited recording time. Interface options... Show waveform visualization... This renders a visual waveform display, which is helpful for low-vision users. Vibration feedback... Enable this if you prefer haptic feedback upon performing actions. Auto play after recording stops... Enabling this automatically plays back your track once recording stops. Keep screen on while main dialog is open... When enabled, this prevents the screen from locking while you stay on the main interface screen. Confirm before exit... Displays a confirmation prompt prior to exiting the app. Confirm before delete... Prompts for confirmation before deleting files. Storage protection: Stop on low storage... Automatically stops recording if remaining storage drops to or below your specified threshold. This is a very useful protection mechanism. Low storage threshold: 50 MB text box... For instance, if remaining space drops to 50 MB, recording automatically stops. You can adjust this value as needed. Now we come to one of the most interesting features: Internal effects. These options depend on your device's capabilities—for example, the audio effects available on your hardware. My device supports six to seven effects, which you can enable or disable according to your needs. Sort recordings by: Newest first... This configures how your saved audio files are ordered within the recordings list. Theme color... This is another accessibility option tailored for low-vision users, so I don't think an in-depth introduction is necessary here. Karaoke engine... As explained earlier regarding Karaoke, the Karaoke Engine offers two operational modes: One Time and Loop. Selecting 'One Time' means your background karaoke track plays through once and the recording stops when the track ends. Choosing 'Loop' causes the backing track to repeat continuously until you manually stop the recording. Karaoke volume... Set to 75% by default, which works well in most cases. Smart Voiceover... One of the best features in the app. Enable voiceover ducking... How does this work? Whenever your voice is detected by the microphone, the app automatically lowers the volume of the background karaoke track according to your configured strength setting. For example, if I am singing along to a backing track, the track volume will automatically drop by 50% whenever I speak or sing. Voice detection sensitivity... Determines how sensitive the mic is to input levels—ranging from quiet sounds to loud sounds, normal sounds, or only loud sounds (which ignores subtle background noise). I have set it to 'Normal sounds'. Ducking strength: 40%... You can adjust this based on your preference, though keeping it between 50% and 70% is generally recommended. Save settings button... Click to save your configured settings. Now, let's click on the 'Upload Karaoke' button. The app automatically scans and lists available audio tracks. I have selected a track. Clicking the 'Clear Karaoke' button allows you to easily remove the attached track. Note that since I am currently recording screen audio using another application, the mic won't capture input if I initiate a recording here. However, once you press the 'Start Recording' button, you will be presented with three options: Pause (to pause and resume), Stop, and Record in Background.

  • So friends, many users are facing a lot of difficulty while using the newly released public version 2.3 of Voice Recorder Pro—regarding what settings to adjust, how to configure them, and what each setting means, as there are quite a lot of options available. Therefore, this tutorial is created for those users to demonstrate specifically how Voice Recorder Pro works, its primary purpose, and the various options it offers, as well as which settings are suitable for general audio recording. So now, I would like to open Voice Recorder Pro here... Voice Recorder Pro... Now it's opening... Voice Recorder Pro. First off, here is its title, Voice Recorder Pro. Next to it is the descriptive text: "Studio Grade Voice Recording & Karaoke Recording." Now, some friends were confused about the word 'Karaoke,' so let me clarify that Karaoke refers to the backing track or instrumental music played in the background while singing or performing. Settings button... Here we have the settings option. 'Ready to record'—this simply displays a brief status toast here. Storage... It displays the available storage space—9716 MB free. 00:00... Here is the timer. Format: M4A, Quality: High rate (48,000 Hz), Bitrate: 192 kbps, Source: Mic, Karaoke: Off, Auto: Off. So, this gives you a quick summary of your active configurations before you begin recording—such as the M4A format and high bitrate settings. Moving on to the controls section... 'Start Recording' button, 'Upload Karaoke' button. Karaoke status: 'No Karaoke track selected', 'No track selected to add a background'. I hope you understand what a backing track is. Upload Karaoke button... Quick Actions: Recordings, Storage, About, Exit. I won't need to demonstrate the 'About' section. Recordings... Under Recordings, you can filter by a specific format to list matching files, or hit refresh to update the list. Since there are no recordings right now, we will check this out later. Voice Recorder Pro... Storage button... Total recordings: 0, Total size: 0, Available storage: [MB], Storage location: /storage/emulated/0/Music/Voice Recordings, Settings location: /data/..., Session recordings: 0. Session recordings track the audio recorded during the current session. Session total time: 00, Copy recordings path, 'Delete All Recordings' button, 'Close' button. It is quite straightforward, and you will easily understand it. Start Record: 00:00. Now I'm going to enter Settings. Settings... Record source... First, we have the Record Source option. There are three choices available here: Microphone, Internal + Microphone, and Internal audio. You are likely familiar with these choices: Microphone records audio via the external mic; Internal audio captures system sounds like TalkBack feedback; while Internal + Microphone attempts to capture both device audio and external voice inputs simultaneously. I have currently selected the Microphone option here. Recording format... This is self-explanatory—it simply defines the audio file format. Audio quality... This is also straightforward, featuring presets ranging from low to very high quality. Bitrate (used in custom quality)... This applies when using custom quality settings, supporting up to 320 kbps. Keep in mind that a higher bitrate results in better sound quality, but also increases the file size. For a good balance, I have set it to 192 kbps, which is also the default option. Sample rate... You can select the sample frequency in Hz here. Next, we have an essential setting for recording: Channels—Mono and Stereo, which you might already be familiar with. Countdown timer... Options include 3 seconds, 5 seconds, and 10 seconds. This adds a delay before recording begins. I currently have it disabled, but you can set it to 3, 5, or 10 seconds depending on your preference.

  • Hello friends, we want to announce an update of Productivity Companion. The Productivity Companion has now been updated to version 3.5.1. Highlights of this update: - Added a GUI interface to download languages for OCR in more tab in Productivity Companion settings - Added a button in Application home screen to check for application updates - Added an option in general tab of Productivity Companion settings to toggle automatic checking for updates at application startup Don't worry: Clearing the application cache doesn't remove your downloaded OCR languages. Downloading and removing all languages can be done via download languages for OCR dialog from more tab in Productivity Companion settings. note: For downloading and removing language, you need to provide administrative rights. If you have any suggestions and feedback, feel free to comment. Also feel free to report bugs if you encounter. Happy accessibility.

  • Good news for those who use the Jieshuo screen reader and prefer to use double-tap typing. Even if "double-tap to type" is checked in the typing settings under advanced settings, it will not work when you use the Google keyboard. However, this keyboard supports double-tap to type. So, if you prefer to use double-tap, install this keyboard and just follow the instructions once opened. • for pc. Hey everyone, PlayAural just got a new language after months of only having two. Introducing our first community translation: Persian. Huge thanks to Hamid Rezaei for contributing this translation. Just a heads-up: The translator fully completed the client strings as well, but I've only updated the server so far. That's on me, not the translator. The client will fully support Persian in the next update.

  • Fixes • Long text is read in full again. In 26.7.5, focusing an item with several lines or paragraphs could read only the first line and go silent for the rest, so you had to move by line or paragraph to hear everything. Full multi-line text is now read straight through, as before. • No more lock-screen freeze after a restart on some phones. On certain devices (seen on Android 17), Talk Forward could begin to speak on the lock screen and then freeze, leaving you unable to enter your PIN. Talk Forward now speaks on the lock screen only through an engine that is allowed to run before you unlock, and otherwise stays quiet until you unlock — instead of freezing. Installing the direct-boot-capable eSpeak engine restores speech on the lock screen. • More reliable startup after a reboot. Talk Forward no longer reads locked storage before you unlock, closing rare cases where the screen reader could fail to come up cleanly after restarting the phone. Per-app scripts and custom sound themes now load correctly once you unlock. Improvements • Sturdier settings backup and restore. Your settings, braille preferences, pronunciation dictionaries, labels and scripts are now saved together and restored more reliably — including across reboots, updates and new devices — so they are far less likely to be lost.
