  • 10 Learnings from last 10 year of active investing Been an active investor since 2015-16 with decent time allocated for investing 2017: Moons were shown during 2017 end with SME garnering limelight , it was followed by one of most brutal price and time correction in broader market 2018-19: When I was investing aggressively with monthly savings, many called it sheer madness and foolish to invest in Indian smallcaps when FIIs have lost trust over India. Many of those stocks in 5 years turned big multibaggers 2020: When valuations were mouth watering , many popular super intellectual fund managers were highly cautious and only when momentum came back, they changed stance. Theory n practical r not same 2020-21: The seeds and rewards of 2018-19 were reaped and reaped well 2022: Small pause with 20%+ correction lasted 15-16 months before another bull run started with double digit growth n margin expansion from attractive valuation of 17-19x leading to 40-80% return at index level in 2 years and higher at stocks 2023-24: Rewards of 2022 seeds reaped 2025-26: Now hearing similar tone on India I used to hear during 2018-19, however, geopolitics is more complicated, disruptions are more complicated, valuations in broader market are much better than 2024 but still not there like 2018-19. We have come below the historic median at best on most indices . Ultrasmallcap does have broader attractive valuation but liquidity missing 10 things I have learnt in all these cycles are (valid for me, may or may not for others): 1. Stay 100 meters away from perma bulls and perma bears 2. Stay 1000 metres away from those who are bullish at extremely high valuation and bearish at lower valuation. 3. There is no need to take extreme stands. Investing is not about 100% invested or 100% cash all the time. There is a life in between that which requires thinking in probabilities. Build skills to think in probabilities 4. Asset allocation matters. Cash is a position . In my last 5 years of teaching , this is something I have kept on teaching but very few get it. Portfolio management skills are much more important than individual stock buy or sell decisions. Unfortunately , it's least discussed topic in investing 5. Use systems built over data as we are humans and we are emotional. Systems are the best unbiased guide. The maximum amount of time gone to build systems to be the devil's advocate. Process, rules, algorithms, principles - all are part of system. Measurable and objective 6. Stay away as much from social media groups. The reason I stay on twitter is for business purposes, let me blunt else I would be in deactivated mode with very selective reading . Except 2-3 WA groups, I quit most groups or not active. Investing is very personal 7. Invest only that much so that I can sleep in peace. If can't sleep in peace, returns are of no use 8. Every bull and bear market will have a new story but it's the same old wine in new bottle - greed and fear is the same old wine, bottle keeps changing . Master understanding the wine (the behavior), not the bottle - the size, shape, color etc etc will keep changing every week. Let the news channels n chai pakaudi gang of social media keep debating the everyday changing bottle. 9. In equity, we cannot have all the answers all the time and when we have it, the price does not remain there. Learn to live with uncertainty through risk management . Whether investor or trader - We are in the business of risk management . Call it trader's stoploss or investors margin of safety. Better the risk management , better the returns. 10. Above all, hearing X generating Y% CAGR this that. There could always be someone above us and sometimes below us. Our competition should be with self to improve. Competing with others is also ok but if leads to jealousy, sadness, anger, short term routes to bypass core philosophy, lack of peace or sleep, the CAGR is of no use. Wish you a happy and peaceful investing journey

  • 📊 How to Learn Technical Analysis – Step-by-Step Guide for Stock Market Enthusiasts 🎯 Especially for those with 1-2+ years of market experience! You've seen ups and downs in the market. Now it's time to read the market like a pro using Technical Analysis (TA). Here's your detailed roadmap 🧵👇 🧭 Step 1: Understand What Technical Analysis Really Is 📌 TA is the study of price charts and patterns to predict future movements. Unlike fundamental analysis (which looks at company health), TA only cares about price, volume, and time. 🔍 Why it matters: If a stock has good fundamentals but isn't moving, TA helps you time your entry and exit better. 📖 Example: Infosys may be fundamentally strong, but if it’s trading in a sideways range, TA helps you avoid dead money zones. 🕯 Step 2: Master Candlestick Patterns Candlesticks reveal market psychology. Each pattern tells a story of bulls vs. bears. ✅ Start with these: Hammer 🔨 = bullish reversal Shooting Star ⭐️ = bearish reversal Bullish Engulfing 🟩🟥 = strong buying interest Doji ✝️ = indecision in the market 📖 Example: A “Hammer” near support in Tata Motors in March 2020 signaled a massive rally after COVID fall! 📚 Pro tip: Practice spotting these on daily and weekly charts of Nifty 50 stocks. 🧱 Step 3: Learn Support & Resistance Like a Pro These are the walls of price movement: 🟥 Resistance = price ceiling 🟩 Support = price floor 📏 Draw horizontal lines on areas where price bounces or rejects multiple times. 📖 Example: Panacea Biotech broke 455–460 zone after 18 years (Multiyear Resistance). Post-breakout, it shot up 🚀 – classic SR flip. 🔁 Always wait for retest or confirmation candle for safer entries. 🔊 Step 4: Use Volume as Your Best Friend Volume = Strength of the Move. 📌 If price breaks out with high volume, it's genuine. If price moves with low volume, it may reverse soon (weak hands). 🧪 Step 5: Learn Key Indicators (But Don’t Overuse!) Indicators confirm your analysis — don’t let them confuse you. ✅ Start with these: RSI: tells if stock is overbought or oversold MACD: signals momentum shift 50/200 EMA: for identifying short & long-term trends 📖 Example: If RSI is at 30 near strong support, and a bullish candle forms — high probability reversal. 📚 Tools: Use TradingView and experiment on past charts. 🧩 Step 6: Build & Backtest Your Own Strategy 🛠 Combine: 💎Price Action 💎Volume 💎Indicators 💎Chart Patterns 💎Exponential Average 🎯 Create setups like: “Bullish Engulfing + RSI < 40 + Near Support” = Buy Setup “Double Bottom + RSI < 40 + Big Volume” = Buy Setup “Doji near Resistance + Low Volume” = No Trade 📖 Example: Backtest your setup on 20 charts. If success rate > 60%, it’s gold. Track in Google Sheets or Notion. 🛡 Step 7: Master Risk Management 🎯 Rule 1: Never risk more than 5-7% per trade 💰 Rule 2: Always know your entry, SL & target before entering 📊 Rule 3: Don't overleverage, especially in F&O ✴️ Rule 4: Always have Risk:Reward ratio = 1:2 minimum 📖 Example: If capital = ₹1L, risk per trade = ₹5000 This keeps emotions low and longevity high. 🧠 Step 8: Train Your Psychology Like a Monk Even the best strategy fails with a weak mindset. 💬 Common traps: 💎FOMO entries 💎Revenge trading 💎Cutting winners early, letting losers run 📖 Case Study: A trader with a 70% win strategy lost capital due to overtrading in sideways markets in 2018-2019. 📚 Book recommendation: Trading in the Zone – Mark Douglas 👉Watch weekly chart reviews, backtest setups, and stay consistent! 📈 Consistency > Complexity

  • In January 2026, Novo Nordisk launched Wegovy tablets an oral formulation of semaglutide. This eliminates cold-chain storage challenges, cuts production costs, and removes the injection barrier that keeps many patients away. This is the unlock that could make GLP-1 genuinely mass-market in India. New indications are opening up. Active *clinical trials are underway for Alzheimer's disease, alcohol use disorder, sleep apnea, NASH (non-alcoholic steatohepatitis), and chronic kidney disease. GLP-1 may become the Swiss Army knife of metabolic medicine.* Each approval is another market. Next-generation molecules. Triple agonists targeting GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon simultaneously are in trials and showing even greater weight loss potentially 25-30% of body weight. Pfizer acquired Metsera for USD 10 billion in 2025 specifically to enter this race. The competition beyond Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly is intensifying. *• India's ambition is also shifting.* Sun Pharma has utreglutide, a novel obesity molecule, in early research. This is the *first serious signal* that an Indian company is not just chasing generics but trying to *build original GLP-1 innovation.* *Fifteen years after Zydus shelved ZYOG1, India is back at the table.* *Short-term access problem. Long-term structural opportunity.* • India's GLP-1 story is not about one drug or one company. It is about a country with the *world's largest metabolic disease* burden finally getting access to the *most clinically validated intervention ever* developed for diabetes and obesity. • The market will be messy in the short term. *Pricing is too high for most Indians.* *Manufacturing at scale is harder* than it looks. Patent battles will delay some launches. Off-label misuse is a regulatory headache. But the direction is irreversible. • When semaglutide generics flood the market in FY27 and prices fall by half then by half again the *addressable population stops being 5% of India and starts becoming 30%.* • The company that builds the loyal chronic-use patient base first wins a revenue stream that compounds for decades. The Indian pharma company that builds original GLP-1 innovation not just copies rewrites its identity entirely.

  • • Price erosion will be severe and fast. *Post patent expiry, prices are expected to drop 40-50% in FY27 and another 10-30% in FY28* as competition intensifies. The India-EU FTA will enable Novo Nordisk to price more aggressively as well, compressing margins further. • CareEdge Ratings projects India's GLP-1 market to grow from *Rs 1,000-1,200 crore today to Rs 4,500-5,000 crore by 2030. A 5x expansion in five years.* *To understand where India is headed, look at what happened in the US.* • The US was 95% of the global GLP-1 weight-loss market in 2024. Over 60% of Novo Nordisk's weight-loss revenue comes from America alone. • Ozempic did nearly USD 17 billion in 2024 sales. Wegovy crossed USD 8 billion. Demand was so far ahead of supply that *semaglutide injections sat on the FDA's drug shortage list.* • *Now compare the US burden to India's:* The US has roughly 38 million diabetics. *India has 101 million. US obesity rate: 40% of adults. India's abdominal obesity rate: ~39-40% and rising faster.* • One data point says it all: the global GLP-1 market is projected to *exceed USD 126 billion by 2029.* India's current market is USD 110-130 million. The *runway is enormous.* *Who actually benefits from this in India?* Here is how to think about it. • *Near term (now through FY27): The global originators win.* Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly hold pricing power, brand trust, and clinical data. They are capturing the premium end of the market the urban, high-income, doctor-referred patient who is willing to pay Rs 10,000+ a month to manage diabetes and lose weight. • *Medium term (FY27 onwards): Indian generics enter and the volume game begins.* *Sun Pharma, Zydus Lifesciences, Dr. Reddy's, Cipla, Lupin, and Torrent are either approved or close.* These companies bring formulation expertise, distribution reach into Tier 2-3 markets, and manufacturing scale. When prices fall 50%, the addressable patient *base expands dramatically.* *• Beyond pharma the second-order plays:* “Shaily Engineering is a clean ‘picks‑and‑shovels’ proxy on the GLP‑1/weight‑loss boom – it’s India’s only insulin‑pen maker, and it already builds auto‑injectors and pens for semaglutide/liraglutide.” But before you get too excited - *the story has real complications.* • *Manufacturing is not a copy-paste job.* Semaglutide is a peptide a large, complex molecule. It is not a small-molecule API you can reverse-engineer easily. Production requires advanced purification techniques, high precision, and yields are low. This is exactly why *only a handful of Indian companies* have cleared the regulatory bar so far and many more are still in the pipeline years after starting. *• Patent litigation is coming.* Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly are known for aggressive patent defence strategies layered filings, device patents, formulation patents designed to delay generic entry even after the compound patent expires. India's patent framework largely limits this, but expect legal battles. *• Safety data has gaps.* These drugs received FDA obesity approval in 2021. That is only four years of widespread use. Long-term data beyond five to ten years is genuinely absent. Known *adverse effects: nausea, vomiting, gallbladder disease, rare pancreatitis risk.* Off-label cosmetic use in *people without diabetes or obesity is already happening* and that is a *patient safety concern* regulators have flagged. *• Weight regain is real.* Stop the drug regain the weight. This is not like statins where you take a pill and the mechanism holds. GLP-1 therapy is effectively chronic, indefinite treatment. At Rs 10,000+ a month, that is a *serious access and affordability question for most of India.* *Where does this go from here? The next five years in GLP-1 are going to be even more interesting than the last five.* *• The oral pill is already here.*

  • THE OZEMPIC WAVE HITS INDIA India has 101 million diabetics, 254 million obese adults and the world's most powerful weight-loss drug just went off-patent. Here is what happens next. India just had its Ozempic moment. • The same drug that rewrote healthcare spending in the US, made Novo Nordisk briefly the *most valuable company in Europe*, and turned weight-loss into Wall Street's hottest trade is now *officially in India.* And India is not just another market for this drug. *India is the market.* *• First - what even is GLP-1? And why is it different from every weight-loss drug before it?* *• GLP-1* is a hormone your gut naturally releases after you eat. It signals your brain to stop hunger, slows digestion, and tells your pancreas to release insulin when blood sugar rises. *• The drugs - semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro)* mimic this hormone artificially. But they do *far more than just shrink waistlines.* *• Clinically proven benefits beyond weight loss:* 1. *Cardiovascular* ~14% reduction in major adverse cardiac events (MACE) across large outcome trials. 2. *Kidneys:* ~17-20% reduction in composite kidney disease progression. 3. *Liver:* Reduction in liver fat a inflammation early data on NASH treatment. 4. *Brain:* Active trials on Alzheimer's, addiction, and sleep apnea. • This is not a lifestyle drug. The WHO added it to its *Essential Medicines* List in 2025. • *Global GLP-1 sales crossed USD 72 billion in 2025. Projected to hit USD 126 billion by 2029.* Now *understand why India is not just another geography - it is the epicentre of the problem this drug was built to solve.* • The numbers are staggering. • *101 million Indians have type 2 diabetes.* Another 136 million have prediabetes. *India is the diabetes capital of the world* and the problem is accelerating, *not slowing down.* • *On obesity:* ICMR-INDIAB data shows 254 million Indians living with generalised obesity. *351 million with abdominal (belly fat) obesity*. Roughly *1 in 3 Indian adults has a high BMI* today. By 2030, that number crosses *400 million.* • And obesity is not standalone. It *feeds into cardiovascular disease, kidney failure, liver disease, cancer, fertility issues, and mental health.* The *downstream healthcare bill is already unmanageable.* Fast forward to 2025. *The drugs are here. But the pricing will shock you.* • Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly entered India in 2025 and immediately partnered with Indian distribution players for deeper reach. • Eli Lilly tied up with Cipla to launch Yurpeak (Tirzepatide). Novo Nordisk partnered with Emcure for Poviztra (Semaglutide). • *What is currently available and what it costs:* 1. *Ozempic* (semaglutide - diabetes): ~Rs 8,800 to Rs 11,000 per month. 2. *Wegovy* (semaglutide - obesity): Rs 10,800 to Rs 16,400+ per month depending on dose. 3. *Mounjaro* (tirzepatide - diabetes + obesity): ~Rs 16,000 per month. • This is *EMI-level spending for a monthly prescription.* For a drug you cannot stop once you start without regaining the weight. • Despite the price, *Mounjaro became one of India's top-selling drug* by value within months of its March 2025 launch. That is a signal no one in the industry is ignoring. *Now the game changes completely.* Semaglutide's patent expires in India on March 20, 2026. • Novo Nordisk holds the patent in the US until 2032. In Europe until 2031. But *India, China, Brazil, and Canada get generic access in 2026.* That is not a small thing that is the *entire patent cliff* arriving in this country right now. • *Who is already in position:* *Approved (ready to launch): Sun Pharma, Alkem, Zydus Lifesciences, Dr. Reddy's, Natco, MSN Labs, Torrent Pharmaceuticals.* *In pipeline:* Cipla, Biocon, Emcure, Hetero Labs, Intas, Lupin, Macleods, Virchow Biotech. • The first generic wave is expected in Q1FY27. The bulk of product launches in H2FY27.

  • *Market snapshot:* Indian equity indices concluded the week in negative territory, as their performance lagged behind that of global emerging market counterparts, amid ongoing sell-offs by foreign institutional investors. *Indices Performance:* The Nifty 50 Index concluded the week with a loss of 1.54 percent, whereas Nifty Bank index performed inline and closed the week with a loss of 1.05 percent. *Fund-flow Activities:* The Foreign Institutional Investors have sold shares worth Rs 4629.5 crore, whereas Domestic Institutional Investors have acquired shares worth Rs 24311.9 crore in the cash segment. *Macro Data:* In the upcoming week, the U.S. nonfarm payroll change, Chinese manufacturing PMI, the annual Budget of the U.K., and a speech from the Governor of the Bank of Japan are anticipated to remain on market focus. *Market Outlook:* In the forthcoming week, the market is expected to concentrate on the geopolitical events involving the U.S., Israel and Iran, as well as the results of macroeconomic data from the leading economies BIG BREAKING 🇮🇷 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 : Iran makes new efforts to restart talks with the United States, WSJ reports. • But the greatest return on investment (ROI) isn't more money—it is Autonomy. * Real Wealth is the ability to say "No" to a job you hate or a meeting you don't want to attend. True Legacy isn't leaving behind a pile of cash; it's leaving behind the gift of "Time" for those you love. Don't just invest to retire. Invest so that your loved ones don't have to sacrifice their soul for a paycheck.

  • It was 4 pm at a plush Wealth Management office in Nariman Point, Mumbai. Arjun, 40 years old, a high-frequency trader from London, walked in straight from the airport. He was wearing a bespoke suit and carried two iPhones that buzzed incessantly with market alerts. His father, Vishwanath, a retired government clerk, had passed away a week ago. Arjun looked at his watch. "I have exactly forty minutes. I need to liquidate my father’s portfolio, sign the probate documents, and head back to the airport. I have a major opening on the London Stock Exchange tomorrow." Vikram, the family’s long-time financial consultant, sat across from him. He had a thick file ready on the desk. "Arjun, your father was a very disciplined man," Vikram said softly. "He started investing with me thirty years ago." Arjun tapped his fingers on the mahogany table. "I’m sure he was. But let’s be realistic—he was a clerk. How much could he have saved? Five lakhs? Ten? Just give me the total Net Asset Value (NAV). I’ll sign the papers, and you can wire the money to my UK account. I don’t have time for a presentation." Vikram didn't open the digital spreadsheet. Instead, he handed Arjun a small, old-fashioned leather diary and a single envelope. "Your father told me that on the day you come to 'collect' your inheritance, I should give you this first. He said the numbers won't make sense without the words." Arjun sighed, visibly annoyed, but opened the envelope. The handwriting was shaky, the ink slightly faded. "Dear Arjun, I know you are looking at your watch right now. I know you are calculating the 'opportunity cost' of sitting in this office instead of a trading floor. Son, I watched you grow up. I watched you turn into a man who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing. You always told me, 'Dad, money makes money.' But you forgot that money is also supposed to buy time. In this folder, you won't find a massive fortune. You will find something else. I have invested in 'Time.' Every year, instead of buying a bigger car or a luxury watch, I bought 'Freedom.' I have cleared the mortgage on our ancestral home. I have set aside a fund that yields exactly what you earn in a month in London. I did this so that if one day you felt tired—if your heart felt heavy from the race—you could stop. I didn't invest so you could become richer. I invested so you could afford to be 'Poor' for a while and spend time with your daughter, the way you couldn't spend with me. The compounding I cared about wasn't just interest. It was the compounding of memories. Please, don't liquidate this. Use the dividends to buy a Sunday afternoon. Use the principal to buy a peaceful sleep. Your father, who always had enough because he had you." Arjun stopped tapping the table. The buzzing of his iPhones suddenly felt like noise, not signals. He looked at the portfolio. It wasn't billions, but it was enough. It was a safety net woven out of thirty years of his father’s sacrifices—small SIPs, avoided luxuries, and quiet discipline. His father hadn't been building a "Portfolio"; he had been building a "Prison Break" for his son. The phone in Arjun’s hand vibrated again. A "Sell" alert. Arjun looked at it for a long second, then turned the phone face down. "Vikram," Arjun’s voice was thick. "I’m not liquidating anything today." "Are you going to miss your flight?" Vikram asked. Arjun looked at the old leather diary, where his father had noted down every dividend he ever received, alongside notes like "Arjun’s 10th birthday—bought 10 extra shares today." "The market will open tomorrow without me," Arjun said, a tear finally hitting the glass of his expensive watch. "But my daughter’s childhood won't wait for a bull market." The Lesson In the world of investing, we often obsess over CAGR, Alpha, and Portfolio Diversification. We treat money as a scoreboard to prove we are winning.

यदि आप Option Buyer हैं तो हमेशा याद रखें की प्रीमियम पर इन 4 चीज़ों से बहुत Effect होता हैं 1- Delta 2- Theta 3- Vega 4- Gama लेकिन इसमें सबसे Important हैं Theta जिसे हम Time Decay भी कह सकते हैं जैसे जैसे Expiry नज़दीक आती है Time Decay तेज़ी से होता हैं और Time Decay Option Buyer का दुश्मन होता है- मेरे अनुभव से-- Best Time For Option Buyer 5-15 Calander Date Best Time For Option Seller 16-5 Calendar Date शुरुआत में Theta Decay का Effect ज्यादा नहीं होता लेकिन जैसे ही Month End होने लगता हैं तो यह Effect बहुत तेज़ी से बढ़ जाता है। I Hope कुछ Learn किया होगा। जय केदार..कृपा अपार 🖤🐴

  • Learning Of The Day- अक्सर नए ट्रेडर को लगता है कि स्टॉक मार्केट का मतलब है सही प्रेडिक्शन करना उन्हें लगता है कि अगर उन्होंने सही दिशा चुन ली तो वो अमीर बन जाएंगे लेकिन कड़वा सच यह है कि आप 70% बार सही होकर भी अपना अकाउंट खाली कर सकते हैं और कोई दूसरा सिर्फ 40% बार सही होकर भी करोड़ों कमा सकता है। Jai Kedar..Kripa Apaar 🖤🐴
