Most people fail to become profitable traders because they focus too much on finding or switching strategies to make money. It’s like trying to catch a fish with bare hands, you’re missing the point. A strategy isn’t something ready-made. A profitable trader develops their own approach based on what they observe and how they understand the market. A strategy shouldn’t be something imposed on the market or separate from it. Most people who blindly follow strategies miss this truth. Open your eyes and think clearly.
If you ask a profitable trader he'll say trading is easy, if you ask an unprofitable trader he'll say trading is hard. So is it easy or hard? It's completely up to you... Every single candle on the chart is when someone is making or losing it. So Build a simple strategy from your observation of price moves and test your skill with good management to be profitable. Don't depend on others!
Trading is very simple to do. No secret. Observe moves. Start to finish.
Top down analysis and entry confirmation never works. It's overrated and dumb we all try to do without thinking about it. Select one timeframe and try to catch highs and lows. Need observation! That's it.
What you already know and not making money with has no value. Leave it aside. Start fresh. Observe!!!
You can save 90% of your time, effort and money by not buying and learning strategies from anyone. Just by observing what the markets do, where it reacts, you will be able to take trades and actually have an edge.
I questioned every single thing, beliefs, I don't trust anyone's advice or knowledge not even warren buffett, I don't care. It has to be me who figures things out and proves it multiple times.
If I can't become successful with my own observation and intellect then definitely i don't deserve success in trading. I better quit. I told myself a year ago ...
I'm loyal to myself.
It's more than a year since I've unfollowed every trader on Instagram and it's just me and the chart alone 24x7.
You never know how you will trade like what style you will make most of the profit in the market so keep observing and reflecting on your results to get better everyday, experiencing new everyday, adapting, processing, trying to make it very simple than words, keep doing until you finally see it in front of your eyes that your trading game is changing, you're starting to become profitable.
I don't listen to any strategies, any trader advice. I just see the charts and learn, what's happening most of the time.
You only need one time frame (m5), set time windows, liquidity zone, fractal highs and lows for entry confirmation. That's my whole strategy. I'll be posting my real results very soon ... Trading is very simple. It has a risk, you have to put money to make money. Uncertainty is an opportunity in the trading world. Take it as an advantage. Don't be a victim of a sad story. Create your own path in trading.
I’ve been in the market for eight years, and one thing I’ve learned is that perfection doesn’t work in trading. What I mean is this: if you trade with a strict mechanical system, it’s almost impossible to be a consistently profitable day trader in all market conditions. A purely systematic approach limits your ability to adapt and grow. Day trading, especially if you do it full time, demands more discretion than rules alone can provide. If you can recognize different market conditions and adapt to intraday moves, you are operating as a discretionary trader, not just a mechanical one. Mechanical trading still has its place, but it is more suited to long term patience. It works better as a side strategy, hobby, or for swing trading, where the slower pace fits. Day trading is different. It is a game of probabilities, skill, and mindset. You need to manage risk and reward, endure drawdowns, handle winning and losing streaks, and execute with discipline. Luck plays a role, but so do planning, consistency, and the ability to act without fear. The upside of day trading is big. When you get it right, it can be very rewarding. But the path is tough. You need patience, commitment, and the financial ability to stick with it while you are learning. It is not easy, but if you are determined, you can make it work. Ultimately, the style you choose, whether scalping, day trading, swing trading, mechanical, or discretionary, comes down to who you are. Your personality, beliefs, goals, and passion will shape the kind of trader you become.
