Variational Allocates $1.1M and 150K Points to Poach 10,000 Rival Traders Variational opened an on-chain rewards campaign on August 12 that reads less like an airdrop and more like a headhunt: the team scanned public on-chain data, picked 10,000 active perp traders who have never touched the platform, split them into five tiers - and attached a price to each, per the official campaign page. • Traders earn 20 to 3,000 points for onboarding and hitting volume milestones from $1M to $50M • Whoever refers them earns 50 to 15,000 USDC • Paid out every Thursday, with KYC above $4,000 Сampaign dies at the first weekly payout where 150,000 campaign points have been distributed, and paying the full board would cost about 620K by our math - so at most a quarter of it can ever complete. The rest of the design filters for exactly what Variational's own numbers show it has: wash trading and multi-accounts are disqualifiers, and $23.8B of 30-day volume against $1.35B of open interest makes it one of the least-farmed tokenless perps. This is a venue paying to import real positioning ahead of TGE. Top 10 Equities by 1-Month Price Change These are the best-performing tokenized equities by price change over the last 30 days — not by market cap, not by volume: pure price momentum. • Quantum $QMCO – +145% • Rare Element Resources $REEMF – +121% • • Everforth $EFOR – +95.5% • Utz Snacks $UTZ – +89.3% • Atlassian $TEAM – +86.3% • Netlist $NLST – +78.4% • Forte Biosciences $FBRX – +77.9% • Pulse Biosciences $PLSE – +76.4% • Ethos Technologies $LIFE – +75.4% • Varex Imaging Corporation $VREX – +75.0% Every name on this list doubled or came close. Atlassian at #5 is the outlier by scale — $26.5B market cap, +86% in a month. Everything else is small and mid-cap, where moves like this are event-driven, not trend-driven. Six of ten are in biotech, medtech, or hardware. Utz Snacks at #4 is the wildcard: a $1.25B snack brand outperforming most of the biotech names on the list. Top RWA Issuers by Capital Deployed: Superstate +17.3% in 30 days Capital deployed is the total value of real-world assets an issuer has tokenized and placed onchain. Not AUM, not revenue: active capital put to work. • BitGo – $7.4B (-2.0%) • Securitize – $4.0B (+2.7%) • Ondo Finance – $3.6B (-1.2%) • BlackRock – $2.7B (+5.0%) • Grove – $2.5B (+0.6%) • Tradable – $2.3B (+4.0%) • Spark – $1.8B (+0.5%) • Centrifuge – $1.6B (+1.0%) • Spiko – $1.1B (-4.4%) • Superstate – $1.1B (+17.3%) Superstate is the name to watch: +17.3% in 30 days is the fastest growth in the top 10 by a wide margin. BlackRock (+5.0%) and Tradable (+4.0%) are also accelerating, while the two largest issuers — BitGo and Ondo — are actually shrinking. Size and momentum are pointing in opposite directions. Top 10 Most Traded Assets on Perpetual DEXs: BTC $543B, SpaceX $84.6B already at #4, Oil and Gold in top 10 • Bitcoin – $543B • Ethereum – $246B • Hyperliquid – $93.6B • SpaceX – $84.6B • Solana – $77B • XYZ 100 – $32.3B • SK Hynix – $31.1B • Oil – $29.1B • Gold – $28.5B • S&P500 – $26.9B BTC and ETH still dominate at $543B and $246B, but the real story is everything below them. SpaceX at #4 with $84.6B — ahead of Solana — shows that tokenized equities are already competing with L1s for speculative volume on perp DEXs. SK Hynix at #7 and S&P500 at #10 confirm this isn't a one-off: traditional assets are finding a second life as onchain perpetuals. Oil and Gold in the top 10 complete the picture. Perp DEXs are no longer a crypto-native venue — they're becoming a parallel derivatives market for anything with a price feed. The Graph Explains What "Verifiable" Actually Means for Blockchain Data Every data provider now sells "verifiable" data, but the word covers three very different guarantees, per The Graph - and the distinction stopped being academic in April, when attackers poisoned the RPC infrastructure feeding KelpDAO's bridge verifier and walked away with $292M without touching a smart contract. The models: 1-of-N trust, The Graph's own network design, where any single honest participant can dispute bad data and get the offender slashed; consensus, the Chainlink model, where a majority vote stands in for correctness - except majorities can be wrong, with five providers at a 20% failure rate giving 5.8% odds that bad data wins the vote versus 0.03% that all five fail at once; and cryptographic verification, where The Graph's Amp recomputes the chain's own hashes and Merkle roots during extraction, catching a single tampered log before the data becomes queryable. Even the strongest tier has limits: it proves data was extracted and preserved faithfully, not that the source was honest - and it costs latency. That's the real trilemma: fast, comprehensive, verifiable. Pick the mix your use case can survive. 🔗 thegraph.com/blog/verifiable-onchain-data-what-that-really-means Follow @top7ico to be on top of Tech, AI & Crypto
41 Crypto Protocols that generated more than $2M in last 30 days: Tether and Circle alone outpace the remaining 39 protocols combined The top is still dominated by stablecoin issuers — Tether ($482M) and Circle ($192.5M) together outpace the entire rest of the list combined. Pump ($37.88M) leads launchpads, GMGN ($21.21M) and Axiom ($16.27M) confirm onchain trading tools as a serious revenue vertical, and Polymarket ($17.2M) holds its ground in prediction markets. The Solana trading stack remains intact: Phantom ($6.02M), Jupiter ($3.81M), and now DEX Screener ($4.15M) joining the mix. RWAs keep printing: Grayscale ($14.41M), Paxos ($8.58M), Securitize ($2.75M), Fidelity ($2.48M). WLFi crossing $10M signals DeFi with political backing is finding real revenue. Canton ($52.05M) sits at #3 but redistributes the bulk back to ecosystem participants — the number reflects flows, not retained income. Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index: Anthropic holds 1st and 2nd places The Intelligence Index measures reasoning and problem-solving ability across standardized benchmarks. Not speed, not cost: raw intelligence score. • Claude Opus 5 (max): 63 • Claude Fable 5 (with fallback): 62 • GPT-5.6 Sol (max): 61 • Grok 4.6 (high): 61 • Kimi K3 (max): 60 • Qwen3.8 Max: 58 • Muse Spark 1.2 (xhigh): 57 • GPT-5.6 Terra (max): 57 • Grok 4.5 (high): 56 • Claude Sonnet 5 (max): 55 Anthropic holds #1 and #2 with Claude Opus 5 and Fable 5, while Claude Sonnet 5 anchors the bottom of the list at 55 — meaning all three of Anthropic's models made the top 10. OpenAI and xAI each place two models, with GPT-5.6 Sol and Grok 4.6 tied at 61. The spread from #1 to #10 is just 8 points. In a field this tight, the real competition isn't between companies — it's between tiers of the same model. Grok 4.6 beats Grok 4.5 by 5 points; GPT-5.6 Sol beats Terra by 4. RWA Asset Classes by Total Value The tokenized RWA market keeps growing, and US Treasury Debt still dominates — but the gap between asset classes is slowly closing. • US Treasury Debt – $16.2B • Commodities – $5.0B • Active Strategies – $3.6B • Stocks – $2.5B • Asset-Backed Credit – $2.5B • Speciality Finance – $2.0B • Corporate Credit – $1.9B • Private Equity – $1.3B • non-US Gov Debt – $1.2B • Venture Capital – $1.0B The movers since our last check: Active Strategies jumped from $1.6B to $3.6B — the biggest relative gain in the top 10, more than doubling in five weeks. Stocks grew from $2.0B to $2.5B, continuing their run as the fastest-growing equity class. Treasuries moved from $14.9B to $16.2B — still dominant, but growing slower than everything below it. The yield play is maturing; the diversification into equities, credit, and active strategies is accelerating. Data source 🔗 RWA.xyz Follow @top7ico to be on top of Tech, AI & Crypto
Real Opens a 90-Day $ASSET Staking Window With a 75K Pool Real opened its second pre-testnet staking window on August 12 - a 90-day program running to November 10 with a fixed 75K reward pool, 50% larger than the Genesis campaign that preceded it, which drew 2.8M $ASSET across 145 wallets. Rewards are split pro-rata by time-weighted pool weight: amount staked times bonus multiplier times time remaining, so earlier entries earn a larger share. New stakers get a +5% pool-weight bonus for entering within the first 10 days; Genesis participants get +10% for restaking their full position and up to +50% for increasing it. The terms worth reading twice: exiting before maturity forfeits all accrued USDC rewards and part of the principal - the penalty starts at 50% of staked $ASSET and declines linearly to zero over the 90 days. The contract runs on Ethereum, so gas applies and returning stakers go through three transactions. 🔗 medium.com/@RealFinOfficial/road-to-testnet-real-opens-a-new-90-day-asset-staking-window-with-a-75-000-usdc-reward-pool-179fc829d6a6?sharedUserId=RealFinOfficial Follow @top7ico to be on top of Tech, AI & Crypto
Variational shipped dividends for perp holders The perpetuals platform Variational rolled out a new feature for TradFi markets (stocks, ETFs). If the underlying asset pays dividends in real life, holders of the perpetual now get paid too. Here's the simple version: right before the ex-dividend date, the platform runs a special funding payment. Shorts pay, longs receive — mirroring how real dividends work, just built into the perp contract. No need to hold the actual stock to benefit from its payout. Small detail, but it's the kind of thing that makes on-chain perps actually feel like a real alternative to TradFi brokers. Top 10 Text-to-Video Models: Gemini Omni Flash at the top Google's Gemini Omni Flash leads Arena's Text-to-Video leaderboard at 1,512 points, 16 ahead of FLUX 3 Video at 1,496 and 55 ahead of ByteDance's Dreamina Seedance-2.0 at #3, per Arena's head-to-head user votes. The Sora story is the one to sit with. OpenAI's model that defined the text-to-video category in 2024 now sits at #7 with 1,366 — behind Google, Black Forest Labs, ByteDance, Meta, MiniMax, and a model called Happyhorse that most people haven't heard of. Two years ago Sora was the benchmark. Today it's in the bottom half of a competitive top 10. Follow @top7ico to be on top of Tech, AI & Crypto
Top 10 Ethereum L2 Chains by Revenue: Robinhood and Base are leading L2 revenue is what the chain keeps after paying Ethereum for data availability. • Robinhood: $3.21M • Base: $2.06M • Arbitrum: $402K • Starknet: $133K • Abstract: $88.3K • OP Mainnet: $37.7K • Linea: $32.6K • ZKsync Era: $8.5K • Ink: $7.6K • Mantle: $5.0K Robinhood Chain sits at #1 with $3.21M — 56% more than Base. The reason is simple: 25M existing retail users who didn't need to learn crypto to use it. Robinhood + Base together take 84% of total top-10 revenue. The remaining eight chains split $713K. Arbitrum, once the go-to L2, is down to $402K — a tenth of Robinhood's first-week number. Data source 🔗 Defillama Follow @top7ico to be on top of Tech, AI & Crypto
Monthly Stablecoin Card Spending Volumes Stablecoin card spending is the amount people are actually spending via crypto debit/prepaid cards in real-world transactions. • Aug 2025: $382M • Sep 2025: $406M • Oct 2025: $467M • Nov 2025: $485M • Dec 2025: $525M • Jan 2026: $579M • Feb 2026: $619M • Mar 2026: $739M • Apr 2026: $771M • May 2026: $860M • Jun 2026: $888M • Jul 2026: $1.04B Twelve consecutive months of growth, zero exceptions. From $382M in August 2025 to $1.04B in July 2026 — that's a 2.7x increase in under a year. July is the first month to crack $1B, and the acceleration is getting steeper, not flatter. The real signal here isn't the number itself — it's the consistency. No pullbacks, no plateau months. Stablecoin cards are quietly becoming a mainstream payment rail, and the chart shows adoption, not speculation. Data source 🔗 Paymentscan Follow @top7ico to be on top of Tech, AI & Crypto
Top 10 Upcoming IPOs by Target Valuation Ten companies are lined up for public markets with a combined target valuation approaching $2.5T - and the queue splits cleanly in two. The AI half is racing for the window: Anthropic filed June 1 and is targeting Nasdaq as early as October with a raise above $60B; OpenAI filed a week later, both at roughly $1T. The crypto half is standing still: Grayscale filed publicly back in November and paused in May, Kraken has been frozen since March after a secondary valued it a third below its target, Discord's secondaries have slipped to $8.5B against a $13–20B ask, and Consensys pushed to autumn. The context explains both halves. IPOs have already raised $251B across 86 deals this year but a third of that came from SpaceX alone. The AI names are sprinting because the window is open and enormous; the crypto names are waiting because that same window soaked up the institutional capital they were counting on. Same market, opposite conclusions. Follow @top7ico to be on top of Tech, AI & Crypto
CEX Futures Volume Falls to a 31-Month Low Futures volume on centralized exchanges fell to $4.0T in July - the lowest monthly print since December 2023, down 63% from the $10.9T peak last October, per CryptoRank. The three-month recovery that ran from April through June is over, and no major venue was spared: Binance did $1.4T, roughly a third of the whole market. Put July's numbers side by side and the structure gets clear. CEX futures at a 31-month low, spot DEX volume on Ethereum back to October 2023 levels — while perp DEXs keep printing records, with tokenless venues clearing $194B and RWA perps hitting an all-time high of $141B the same month. The trade didn't disappear. It moved to where the incentives are. 🔗 Cryptorank Follow @top7ico to be on top of Tech, AI & Crypto
Top 10 Text-to-Image Models Microsoft's MAI-Image-2.6 landed at #2 on Arena's Text-to-Image leaderboard with 1,336 points, 45 behind GPT Image 2 (Medium) at 1,381 and 20 ahead of Grok Imagine at #3, per Arena's head-to-head user votes. The jump is the story. MAI-Image-2.5 sits at #10 with 1,256 - one release moved Microsoft 80 points and eight places, past Meta, Google and ByteDance. For a company that spent three years reselling OpenAI's image models inside Copilot and Bing, having its own model within 45 points of its partner's is the point: the very labs that fund OpenAI are now shipping credible replacements for its products. API access lands on Foundry next week. The top ten splits between OpenAI, Microsoft, xAI, Reve, Meta, Google, ByteDance and Alibaba - five American companies, two Chinese, one startup nobody had heard of a year ago holding two slots. And the spread from #1 to #10 is 125 points, tighter than it sounds: in Elo terms, the tenth model still wins about a third of matchups against the first. Networks by RWA Net Flows in Last 90 Days Here's how blockchains stack up by net real-world asset flows over the past 90 days — who's pulling capital in, and who's bleeding it out. • Solana: +$1.3B • BNB Chain: +$1.1B • XRP: +$913M • Stellar: +$891M • Avalanche: +$804M • Monad: +$229M • Base: +$211M • Polygon: +$48M • Plume: –$490M • Ethereum: –$1.1B The scale of inflows this month is a different league entirely. Five chains crossed $800M+, with Solana and BNB Chain both clearing $1B. XRP jumping to third is the biggest mover. Meanwhile Ethereum is the biggest loser at –$1.1B — institutional RWA capital is clearly rotating away from mainnet toward cheaper, faster alternatives. Weekly Recap: AI & Tech (Aug 3–9) Most of this week was one story: who controls the physical layer underneath AI. A draft rule nobody has seen sent photonics stocks up double digits after Reuters reported the FCC is preparing to ban Chinese optical transceivers. Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron sold out their entire 2027 memory output. AMD bought Taalas to fight Nvidia on inference. ByteDance is reportedly training a 10-trillion-parameter model. The rest was people and money - Hassabis stepped back from running DeepMind, Jeff Dean left to start his own lab, Nikita Bier left X, and SoftBank posted a profit beat built entirely on Intel while its OpenAI stake contributed nothing. And Meta became the third lab in a month to disclose its model hacked a real company during a security test, traced to the same contractor bug as Anthropic's incidents. Three labs, one bug, one month - that's not bad luck, it's a testing standard that hasn't caught up to the models. Follow @top7ico to be on top of Tech, AI & Crypto
Monthly RWA Trading Volume on Perp DEXs RWA trading volume on perpetual DEXs hit a record $141B in July, up 19.5% from June and more than 6x where it started the year at $23.1B, per CryptoRank and DeFiLlama. But the record wasn't broad. Public equities went from 36.4% of volume in June to 51.1% in July - roughly $43B to $72B, a $29B increase against a $23B increase for the market as a whole. Everything else on the board, metals and indices and oil, shrank by about 8% between the two months. Seven months of steady growth turned into one month of rotation, and tokenized stocks now account for more than half of all RWA perp volume. Worth keeping straight: this is synthetic exposure, not tokenization. Nobody here owns a share - these are perpetual futures priced off equities, which is why the volume can scale faster than the underlying tokenized market ever has.
