Mikhail Lomonosov (1747) The marriage feels quite good, though nuisances are plenty, I won't refer to clothes: when woman is by twenty, Whatever's on looks fine. It can be hard, however, For your own wallet, losing weight in such endeavor. The worst of things is stubbornness in every question, Contentious answers and unbearable suggestions! As an example, there's a story of a guy, Whose wife has sunk into a river nearby. When at the waterside, he saw a neighbour fishing, And asked if he had seen his woman's body swishing. The neighbour said he should be searching down the stream, Because the current takes whatever falls, to feed the bream. But our guy just shook his head in utter doubt: "Believe or not, that woman's mind was cussed and stout. She was so stubborn all those years! Just stomps and scream! That even being dead, she would be flowing UP the stream!"
I'm a bar stripper dancer; I dance for the wage – Have you seen me embracing the pole on the stage? Have you seen my fine buttocks move right in the rhythm, Have you seen my firm breasts – proof of my narcissism? All my loyal spectators don't skimp on the bills: Push them through my bikini, toss under my heels. They are old men, as usual, long-bearded and dear, Bet they think: "Phew, she's not MY granddaughter! I'm clear!" Always smiling to them, always shining and cute, And they don't know my secret – I'm totally mute.... Dear God has supplied me no good vocal cords, From my childhood I stomped "yes" and "no" on the boards. I can't sing, I can't shriek, I can't howl like a hound, Even serpent-like hissing produces no sound. All I have is the dance, and I have to be scrappy, Moving here, on the stage – this is how I feel happy. Look at them! They are old, but they feel young again When they watch me so close, all those gray-haired men. Not much fun do they have in this old nursing home, I'm the bright, glaring star in their lives' monochrome.
Momento Mori The Last Words The patient lay there, dying of cirrhosis, Alcoholism, hep, and HIV. You can imagine what was her prognosis: No miracles. Death pressed the final key. The patient lay there – yellow, desiccated, Aware that the drapes were closing fast. "Oh, Goodness! What a life I had! Elated! Was walking tall! Bright! Chicly! At full blast!" She vomited: dark, bloody, bubbling fluid. She's dying ‐ easily, with no regret: "Live your full life! Don't make your days be ruined...!" "I will, Lyudmila, try to sleep, coquette". https://t.me/MomentoMori39
Sewing Motherland smoothly with stitches – Each of them in the human height long – А потом возник некий ступор, ибо подобрать адекватную рифму к "stitches" оказалось достаточно сложно. Sewing Homeland with stubborn persistence, Stitch by stitch – each the human-height long – Age-of-Troubles is walking its distance, Filling graves with the dead all along.
Dinara Kerimova An extract from "A Poem for the Fourth" 3 It's winter. I inearthed my student lately: Killed in the fights for Marinka. Bad-fate-ly, Stormtrooper squad was practically smashed. His mother's screams above the dead, voice crushed: "Revive, my son, or let me die along!". Me, standing there infinitely long, Believing, praying she could bring him back And change the course of time, deceive or hack His fate, weaved in the mission of his Land!– But War has lulled him, covered with her hand... He is NOT destined to become a father, A husband, a support for his old mother, Whose life has turned into the endless sore. She was a mother! Was. Not any more. Accepting it – means jumping from Ragdan, Towards her son, towards her Rabadan. *Ragdan – a mountain peak in Dagestan, Russia. https://t.me/dinarakerimova_dnk/893
Tanya Vityaz Those men, who have seen it, don't talk of it wide, No "beautiful stories" to boast of tomorrow, And each of them keeps what he saw deep inside — For War is the pain, War is tears, War is sorrow. The War is the soul of your dear old friend, Who comes to your dreams, mutely asking and restless; The War is the grief of the mothers who spend Their long mournful lives without sons, nurturing pastness. The War is the screams and the groans in the flames, The War is the people, existing in terror, The War is the lives of the boys, their names And hundred of fates, broken down by that error. Those men, who have seen it, don't stir up the past, Unwilling to cut open wounds for the story. Averse to return to the times they have passed – True veterans don't boast of War for the glory. https://t.me/tanyavityaz/2986
Andrey Polonsky (1958-2025) About Powerlessness People die at wars - are killed, as usual, Does not matter - ours, theirs... All. If it's "killing you" and "feels so crucial", Make the war end quickly: once, for all. But because you can't, since you are forceless - Women's howl is heard from every side, Children die of shellings so remorseless, And the funerals can't be uneyed. Sing not of the Battles of the Nations, Nor the medals, victories, done fast. Sing of peaceful evening conversations, Do your best to stop the war at last. People die at wars - are killed, as usual, Does not matter - ours, theirs... All. If it's "killing you" and "feels so crucial", Make the war end quickly: once, for all.
Andrey Polonsky (1958-2025) Into the sea of silence, Rivers flow right along. Hopefully, people will gather After the war before long. They'll have many things to remember From times when the War grew Her fat, Seduced almost all to Her chamber, But took the best ones just like that. The host will break fish, bread, if any, Pour hooch of some pricey brand: Let's toast for the dead. So many Of them perished for this land. And if you survived - live it fully! Let's drink, have a bite, drink again! But somehow, I'm telling you truly, I don't spot myself with those men.
Andrey Polonsky (1958-2025) If the aliens were coming, We would stand together all In the single chain. And, humming, Would stay solid, like a wall. But so far, the practice teaches: Things are earthy, same again - Same is booze, the same are speeches, And the panzers, gentlemen. Tender friend and hostile clown, Barking dogs and women's bawls. You should hit the neighbour town, To prevent them hitting yours.
Andrey Polonsky (1958-2025) Lead! (feel it like you're able?) If not - just sing a song. Your guns are chant and fable, That follow you along. A lover, a protester, At peace, at war (not least!), You - called to be a jester - Proceed to act a priest. Up to the ass in blood, though, Stern idols are still strong. But you - sharp, funny, drunk - go, Explode them with a song!
Eduard Balashov (1938-2022) The Ballad The bombardment struck the spot hard, Sending terror shell by shell, — Peaceful Heaven of the graveyard Turned into the utter Hell. Stones are torn apart outrightly, Graves and vaults are blasted through. Those who slept here still and quietly, Have been meanly killed anew. Ashes, smelling of gunpowder Mix with clouds – grey-earthy dyed. Tombstones moan and cry out louder As the horror crawls outside. The surviving burial crosses Stand up straight and look around: Estimating heavy losses On the shattered, dug up ground. To the frontline, in the silence, Rows of the awakened souls, Under cover of the darkness Pass through graveyard fencing's holes. And as if it was intended, Reinforcement went to war. But the fight went unattended By the "Sovinformbureau". No one knew, no one detected, Or reported anywhere: Of the killed ones resurrected, Of the dead, that perished there... https://t.me/philol_lol/11655
Alexey Polubota (1975-2023) From the cycle "On the burning fields of Novorossiya" The War has long ago become a habit, A mode of life, as scary as the dog's eyes, That lost her masters in the blast from shelling, But still keeps guarding ashes of the house. As scary as the fragments of the whizzbang (That parents keep), extracted from the body Of their lucky child, not dead, just wounded By this relentless piece of riven iron. The generation of the local youngsters Has War inside the mind ingrained forever. The wives are waiting for their loved ones' coming From War like from the risky job they're doing. And women whisper spells when night comes over: "Die, bitchy War. Come back and live, my Dear".

Egor Sergeev In his foolhardiness, in the steppes fights the dashing cossack, The Siberian lad with his arms breaks the head or the back, The Caucasian fellow is using a knife to attack. But Karelia uses the ploy of exhausting retreat, As Karelia is the coniferous stealth, perfect wood. Oh, you, prankster, you, cocky, assertive and obstinate kid, Fool, oh, fool, why on earth did you come - as it can't be for good. In October the waters are cold, not to rise from the bottom, And the fangs of the beasts are so long, right to get to your thigh. There is no friendly shoulder, no Petrozavodsk seen in autumn. And you don't need to shout: no one knows who will answer your cry... https://t.me/sergeevpoet/3023
#kids_and_nature Наблюдали лично.
Konstantin Simonov (1942) If you love your old village home, Where you grew, a plain Russian boy, In the cradle beneath the dome, Swinging easily and with joy, If you love the old wooden walls, Every corner of your own space, By your grandparents worn-out floors, And the oven - the sacred place, If you feel for your poor yard, Trees in blossom and buzzing bees, Granddad's table you liked so hard Under centuries-old linden trees, If you don't want that dear floor To be trampled by German boots, Grandpa's table be served them for, And the trees to be cut to roots, If your mother is dear to you, She, who nursed you so long ago, And to her empty breasts you press to When you hug her with mirth or woe, If you can't stand a mere thought, That you mom being hit by them, Dragged by hair, thrown down to be shot, Made be silent and left to clem, If you suffer from that her hands, That have lulled YOU in soft embrace, Will be washing the German's pants, Making bed for him on YOUR place... If you haven't forgotten your dad, A good soldier, who pampered you so, Who has fought for the Russian land, And was lost in Carpathian snow; For the Volga and for the Don Fought your father and lost his life. In his nameless grave he would turn, Seeing how they treat his old wife. If you don't want to see the eyes Of your Mom, when the German claw Tears the portrait of Dad crosswise, Stamps on it on the dirty floor... An old teacher, a gray-haired man, Hanging dead on the poplar tree. In the school yard his long lifespan Ended so for the German's glee. He, who taught you all good and kind, He, who never did any harms, Hanging dead - beaten and made blind, With the broken and mangled arms... If you don't want to give a girl, Who you cherished and kissed at last, Who you loved for the naughty curl, To the German to feed his lust, So that he with two other dogs Raped her mercilessly on the floor, Groped her breasts, grunting like three hogs, Slapping her, when they felt a bore. If you don't want to give to that crud All the bits of your sacred love To be covered in tears and blood, To be torn by the German in half... Will you share all your holy things With the German and his black gun? Your own home, Mother, Wife, offsprings, Our Motherland - the only one? Know this: no one will get them out, If YOU don't do it on your own. There is no one to kill the kraut, If YOU don't kill him - YOU, alone. And before you have killed the one, Don't you talk about love at all – And this country beneath the Sun As your "Motherland" don't you call! If your brother has killed the kraut, Or you neighbour has killed him, too – It is THEIR revenge, no doubt, And it's NOT an excuse for YOU! Sitting NOT in the peaceful hideout, Shooting right at the aim, or two, If your brother has killed the kraut – So the soldier is HE, not YOU. Kill the German! Let him fall down On the earth, lying there, slain. Let HIS mother moan in his town, Not YOUR parents to face this pain! It's HIS fault that he came to us, So let HIS house burn in blaze, And HIS wife be a widow, thus, Not your wife suffer all her days. Let HIS mother shed tears of grief, Not your dear one, not your wife. Let HIS mother feel no relief, Never seeing HER son alive. Kill the German! At least just one, Kill him every time you can kill! Kill him now! Never let him run, Kill him promptly, don't wait until... #GreatPatrioticWar_poetry
BECAUSE, WELL, YES, I AM DAMN GOOD!! 👇👇👇
