Одно из самых непростых испытаний — сохранить хорошее мнение о своём брате тогда, когда шайтан даёт тебе десятки причин думать о нём плохо. Иногда достаточно одного слова, одного поступка или даже взгляда, чтобы человек начал строить в своей голове целую историю. Шайтан подбрасывает одно предположение за другим, пока ты уже не видишь в поступке брата ничего хорошего. И здесь начинается настоящая борьба. Постарайся не спешить с выводами. Ищи ему оправдание, даже если сначала оно кажется натянутым. Возможно, ты просто не знаешь всей ситуации. А если совсем не получается найти оправдание — оставь это и скажи себе: «Возможно, у него есть причина, которой я не знаю». Не позволяй предположениям портить твоё отношение к человеку.

Today, a cool person is someone who is - disgustingly well-read, - frighteningly articulate, - mentally juicy, - relentlessly curious, - wildly alive to ideas, - deeply connected to their roots, - highly aware of their "why." The old idea of cool is slowly fading. Being rich, privileged, impeccably dressed with the latest gadgets in hand no longer makes a person interesting. I'm sorry to break this to you, but real growth often comes from hitting rock bottom, losing everything, bankruptcy, divorce, or the death of a loved one. Sometimes, a person may be wise enough to choose to live out his mission consciously, without first experiencing great loss or failure, but such cases are rare. The older I get, the more I feel the popular saying needs a slight adjustment. To develop, they say: Learn foreign languages. Master modern technologies. Study the sciences. Conduct research. Make inventions. To some extent, that's true. But at the heart of it all lies a greater truth: all of this means little if it comes at the expense of obedience to Allah and His guidance. Unless His law, His word, and His love are at the center of our efforts, the ultimate payoff will be little, if any. Isn't this the central lesson of the Seerah? The Prophet sollallohu alayhi wasallam and his companions transformed the world not because they first mastered every worldly discipline, but because they put Allah above everything else.
