Save, learn, use : 1. To gaslight — заставлять сомневаться в своей адекватности — "Stop gaslighting me. I'm not crazy." 2. To twist words — перекручивать слова — "You're twisting my words. That's not what I said." 3. To walk on eggshells — ходить по лезвию ножа — "I'm tired of walking on eggshells around you." 4. To downplay feelings — обесценивать чувства — "Don't downplay my emotions. They're real." 5. To shift the blame — перекладывать вину — "Stop shifting the blame. Take responsibility." 6. To manipulate — манипулировать — "He manipulated me into doubting myself." 7. To invalidate — обесценивать / признавать недействительным — "Don't invalidate my experience. I was there." 8. To play the victim — притворяться жертвой — "Stop playing the victim. You hurt me." 9. To set a boundary — установить границу — "I'm setting a boundary. This conversation is over." 10. My reality is not up for debate — моя реальность не обсуждается — "I know what happened. My reality is not up for debate."
The video outlines key signs to distinguish gaslighting from a normal disagreement. Unlike a healthy argument where both sides seek a solution, gaslighting is about power and control. The key difference is that a gaslighter will manipulate you into doubting your own reality to gain the upper hand, damaging your mental and emotional health in the process. I really enjoyed this podcast. You?

You don’t always know you’re being gaslit. You just know something is...wrong! 1. Constant confusion You replay conversations in your head 100 times: - I can’t trust my own mind anymore. 2. Chronic guilt: You apologize for everything: for your tone, your needs, existing. - I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you.. . 3. Walking on eggshells: You filter every word before you say it, and you’re terrified of their reaction. - I feel like I’m walking on eggshells 24/7. 4. Self-doubt overdrive : You start asking friends: - Am I too sensitive? Am I crazy? 5. Emotional exhaustion: You’re tired, but not ot physically. - I feel drained, but I don’t know why.

Hi guys! This week I’m dedicating to... toxic people😄 No, I’m not inviting them over for tea🫖. I’m studying them. I'm not sure if I'm toxic myself - only my friends know the truth 😉 anyway, everyone experiences these.. hmm.. Kinda relationships.. So this week we talk about toxicity. With English, with psychology, without shame. Let’s start with nice phrases, first of all👇
HI GUYS! 👋 While I'm sitting in the clinic waiting to finally cure this 5-week cough, I've started something that's healing my professional soul. I'm writing a BOOK. Yes, again, but this time non-fiction. This is my personal confession as a teacher and psychologist: how to deal with the toughest people, avoid burnout.. and actually enjoy what you do. And about my workaholism and how I deal with it as a teacher and a millenial (I'm 36 y.o), of course The introduction is already written! Do you want me to take you behind the scenes? Drop a ❤️ if YES
What children are actually afraid of... Today I've been thinking about my daughter's fears. Actually, they are (or were) the same as mine... That's why I've decided to discuss it with you. In my video a girl lost her phone, but she's not afraid of losing a gadget! She's afraid that her mum will be disappointed in her, cause she thinks her mum's love depends on how good and obedient she is. Children aren't afraid of punishment (even if they don't think so). They are afraid that they will stop being loved!!! That's why it's so important to tell them: "I'm upset about the situation. But I always love YOU. You are my child, and that never changes". When a child knows that love is unconditional, they stop lying and hiding, they come with the truth, cause they have nothing to lose. Agree?

Hello my dear friends. I hope you're doing well, the weather in Moscow is great today! What are your plans for the weekend?? (share in comments) I've just had 3 classes, one of them is an IELTS lesson on... plastic pollution 😶🌫️🫨 . My student tried hard to find the ways to aolve this huge problem (like it can be solved, yeah, sure, especially these days). The thing about IELTS? You reeeally need ideas, not just grammar. sometimes ideas come from unexpected place, actually. Like this week in Zelenogradsk, I stumbled into a museum made entirely of garbage. Can you believe it? Have you been there? It's called "Мумука" (in Russian). Plastic bottles, old toys, bottle caps and so on - everything is turned into art!! It’s a fantastic place!!! Approved!! Visit it, especially with kids. PS If this post gets 21 🔥, I'll share my IELTS workbook that I've created on the topic of plastic-vocab, ideas, tasks, ready to use. Who's in? 👇
No agenda today. What's something you learned this year, not from a book, but from life?
Today I want to talk about something that's been on my mind for a while. Something that I know a lot of us feel, especially teachers. This year's been intense. New EGE reality, our job with students in particular, plus all this highly difficult situation in the world, in our country.. , well, you know what I'm talking about - all of it cannot just disappear from our heads after having some rest in summer. It's Ok to feel overwhelmed, anxious or even devastated these days. One psychologist said a nice phrase that I liked - "Если ваша кукуха в последнее время до сих пор не отлетела, значит, с вами что-то не так" 😄😄 funny, but, actually, not at all🤧 . So guys, let's share some tips how to reduce anxiety and ease burnout? What can help or has helped you??? 👇
