Building a Stronger Network Over the past months, our focus has been on improving the foundation of the Node Network. While new features are important, stability and reliability remain essential for every Node Operator and every file stored within the network. That is why Version 2.2.0 introduces several important improvements designed to strengthen both the user experience and the underlying infrastructure. What's New? New Frontend Design The Node Dashboard has been redesigned to align with the new WeSendit platform experience, creating a cleaner and more consistent interface. Improved Network Communication Communication between Storage Nodes and Master Nodes has been significantly enhanced. Lost network packets can now be detected and retransmitted more reliably, helping improve overall network stability and performance. Modernized Charting Framework We replaced the legacy React Charts library with MUI Charts. This improves maintainability and creates a stronger foundation for future dashboard enhancements. Updated Support Integration The "Report Issue" button now redirects directly to our new Helpdesk platform, making it easier to report and resolve issues. Increased Stability Several causes of Storage Node crashes have been identified and resolved, resulting in a more reliable node operation experience. Looking Ahead We are already working on additional improvements: - More dashboard analytics and statistics - Frontend access to node logs - Automatic crash detection and reporting Thank you to all Node Operators for your continued support, valuable feedback and contribution to the growth of the WeSendit Node Network. WeSendit embarks on the future with new leadership and a clear focus WeSendit Media AG is entering a new phase: at the beginning of October, the company was acquired by two Swiss investors: apfeleins.group AG and 4 element Investments AG. With the takeover, former board member Christian Busse takes over as president, succeeding Jens Herbst. At the same time, Dimitri Tirez, founder of WeSendit, returns as a board member and investor with his company apfeleins.group AG. Together with the new CEO Reto Massalongo, the management team is focusing on stability, clear goals, and the sustainable development of the platform. WeSendit was founded with the vision of transferring large amounts of data securely, quickly, and independently. This idea remains the foundation of the company to this day. WeSendit has since evolved from a data transfer service to a provider of secure, decentralized data management, an area that is becoming increasingly important worldwide. The new management team is focusing on placing even greater emphasis on Swissness and its values of security, precision, and trust. At the same time, the community will be actively involved in the further development of WeSendit 3.0. The first strategic steps will become apparent in the coming days.
