Have you ever faced uncomfortable, scary, or abusive behavior online? This could be unwanted messages, cyberstalking, having your private information shared, impersonation, or harsh bullying because you are a woman. Your voice matters. For the Yellow Movement's 16 Days of Activism, we are collecting anonymous stories of Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) to raise awareness and show the real impact of online abuse. You are not alone. How to share your story safely and anonymously: Click this Google Form link: https://forms.gle/tcBacjwpBF7KakU4A Describe what happened. You don't need to use your name or any identifying details. Attach a screenshot (if you have one) as evidence. Your submission will be used anonymously in our social media advocacy to educate others and fight for a safer digital world for all women and girls. Let's break the silence together. https://t.me/TheYellowMovement
On 25 November 2025, the world marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, established by the United Nations to honour the Mirabal sisters—activists whose assassination in 1960 ignited global resistance to gender-based oppression. It is a day that reminds us that violence against women persists in new and evolving forms. This year’s theme, “UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls,” calls for collective action to confront one of the fastest-growing forms of abuse in an increasingly digital world. As we observe the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women 2025, we honour those who have endured violence, remember those whose lives were lost, and recommit ourselves to building an Africa where women and girls live and connect free from fear. Have a UNiTED International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women!

When it comes to networking, there are also underlying characteristics that are usually not taken into consideration (background, personality, resources). Networking shouldn’t be a size-fit-all system; it should be intersectional and able to adapt to people's needs to provide better results. For instance, not everybody is a good speaker or knows how to handle good communication, so what would be the alternatives, and in general, what are the support systems for the youth? In addition, understanding how to access and use information is key in this globalized and technological society. We also need to address the means by which the youth can access this information; there is a need for more policies and investment in developing and implementing platforms in African countries that will generate innovation and development.
