🌧⛈🌧 Even though it’s raining here in Addis, I pushed myself out of the comfort zone and went for a run. It wasn’t about chasing speed or distance today, it was about showing up. Participation itself is a win 🏆, and for me, this was a good try to close the week with energy.

  • Monday Kick‑Off: Lessons in Building Dynamic Apps & Managing Projects 🚀 The week has just started, and already it’s teaching me so much. Every moment reminds me how even the most basic things matter when designing data‑heavy and dynamic applications and managing projects effectively. I’ve come to appreciate: 📊 The importance of data models and how structure defines everything. ⚡ Query optimization and why efficiency is never optional. 🔄 Normalization: and the chaos that follows if we ignore it. 🔍 Indexing : when and why it matters for performance. 🧩 Denormalization : sometimes intentional, sometimes necessary. 📂 Project management : how organizing tasks, roles, and timelines makes technical work sustainable. Even in my personal projects, I’ve realized the significance of role‑based access control. At first, I thought three distinct roles with non‑overlapping permissions were enough. But now I understand: 👤 Users and roles should be separated. 🎭 Hat‑switching matters : one authenticated account can perform different operations depending on context. 🔑 Permissions evolve as roles change. Lesson of the Week: Learning continues. Every bug, every design choice, every challenge is a teacher, and each step builds the foundation for truly dynamic applications and stronger project management. @yoni_verse

  • Just spent the day working on system architecture, understanding how it works through different diagrams 📊, considering real-world scenarios, answering questions ❓, thinking 💭, and unifying small group efforts to build a functional system. So far, it's powerful learning in a multitude of ways, teaching me about both career 🚀 and life. And it's all about that 👆. I'm grateful for this... I didn't forget that pressure is a privilege 🏋️, like access to sun ☀️ for a plant 🌱.

  • 🚀 Guess what… this hackathon is fire! 🚀 I just visited Ethio Telecom’s Museum, and wow, I had no idea how rich the history of Ethiopian telecom really is. Seeing how it evolved, plus the tech they’re working on now (smart office setups and education technology in the Adwa Museum), was eye‑opening. ✨ Along the way, I also met @brojects_and_resources and @dot_rut, plus officials from sponsor organizations. Networking + learning = 🔥 😸 The vibe? Pure energy. Everyone is grinding, pushing, building. There are places we must be as devs, because the energy here is truly another level. 💡 Takeaway: Experiences like this teach beyond books. They inspire, connect, and fuel the builder’s journey.
