Nuremberg Laws: 1. Enclosed are two copies each of the three Nuernberg laws dated 15 September 1935 and signed by ADOLF HITLER and various other dignitaries. These are the original Nuernberg laws which were given as a special gift to the OBERBUERGERMEISTER Dr. LIEBL by Hitler. At the approach of U.S. troops the laws were given to the Hoehere SS and POLIZEI FUEHRER, General der WAFFEN SS. Dr. BENNO MARTIN. This gentleman deposited these documents at the local Bank in EICHSTAETT where they were found today by the undersigned and Special Agent Martin Dannenberg of the 203rd CIC Detachment. Information as to the whereabouts of these documents were furnished by Herr Profes- sor HANS RAUCH, a high Official of the German FINANZMINISTERIUM and director of the Nurnberg office of the Finanzministerium (German Trea- sury). 2. Also deposited at the BAYRISCHE HYPOTHEKEN UND WECHSELBANK and now sealed by this Detachment are the family jewels of the COUNT STAUFFENBERG family. Count Stauffenberg was executed, after the attempt on Hitler's life last July. Herr RAUSCH had these in his safe in Nurn- berg and was the official custodian of these jewels. The undersigned did not open the sealed package. 3. A preliminary translation of the three laws is herewith attache The other letters in the enclosed enveloppe show only the manner in which they left the REICHSARCHIV and were sent to NUERNBERG.

THE REICHS CITIZEN LAW 15 September 1935 The Reichstag has unanimously decided the following law which is herewith made public: Paragraph 1. (1) A citizen is who belongs to the protective association of the German Reich and who therefore is especially obligated to it. (2) The citizenship is being acquired along the requirements of the Reichs and Citizenship law. Paragraph 2. (1) Reichs citizen is only the citizen of German or German related blood who proves by his attitude that he is willing and capable to serve the German people and the Reich faithfully. (2) The Reichs citizen right will be acquired by the granting of the Reichs citizen brief. (3) The Reichs citizen is the sole bearer of the full political rights along the lines of the laws.
