A taxiing Hawker Beechcraft 400A (I‑AERB) was struck by a ground‑service Fiat Panda at Milan Linate airport with the jet’s nose penetrating the side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported, though the driver was treated for shock. Update: The aerial search is being carried out using the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) TB2 drone and a Maldivian Dash-8 aircraft. The missing persons have been identified as Maldives Police Sergeant Ali Nafiu, MNDF Staff Sergeant Ibrahim Ahmed, and Captain Mohammed Hamdhoon of the supply vessel ‘Friend 4’, which capsized late last night. A distress call was issued at 23:30 when the vessel began taking on water. Eight men were on board at the time; seven were rescued. The captain and two rescuers remained on the vessel, operating pumps in an effort to remove water, when the vessel suddenly overturned.

A boat that began taking on water earlier this morning has sunk. According to reports, four of the eight people on board have been rescued, while the vessel’s captain, an MNDF soldier, and a police officer who was assisting remain missing. A Maldivian Dash 8 aircraft and an MNDF TB2 drone are carrying out aerial search operations for the missing men.
