Three BTJ missionaries. All approved visas. All stopped from coming to the US. Illegal immigration in the US has really helped human traffickers who transport women and children for the sex trade. Instead of being punished, human smuggling cartels are finding their efforts assisted with free transportation, free housing, free food, free medical, and in some cases – the ability to break other extremely serious laws without being punished. The situation is different however for those who work in missions. Three BTJ missionaries have gone through the United States immigration procedures, answered the questions, filled out the forms, paid the fees, received their visa, and all three were denied boarding at the gate to their flight. Emergency Delivery Kits Now on the Field The time of pregnancy and giving birth can be very joyful, but is also a precarious time for many women. Particularly those who have no access to safe maternity care have reason to fear the time of childbirth. Worldwide, still far too many women sustain life changing injuries or even die as a result of giving birth, and many babies are stillborn or die of infections after birth. Together with a BTJ doctor on our team, we have developed delivery kits, especially for use in areas where there is no access to safe maternity care. They contain essentials for a sterile delivery environment, and for the first care given to the newborn. But of course, it is important to know how to use these materials. Three Chinese Christians Escape Through Window During Police Raid Recently, an underground house church network in China known as the Five Brothers, was hosting a training. They weren’t aware that they police had been monitoring their phones and had located the location of their training. “The police weren’t able to pin-point the exact location of the training, only the proximity,” one pastor reported anonymously. When the training was over and there was a celebration dinner at one of the local restaurants and the police moved in to do a raid. “My wife and another pastor and his wife were in a side room,” the pastor reported. “When they heard the police raid the restaurant, all three of them were able to escape out a side window.” The pastor’s wife and the other pastor couple were able to escape, but many of the attendees were detained, their information recorded, and they were soon released. How Jesus Appeared to an Old Chinese Woman During the Cultural Revolution Mrs. Wu was gravely ill. Born and bred in a comfortable home in the city, this mother of four children was not accustomed to the hard field labor she was forced to do when they were sent to this rural area. When illness struck, she had continued working to escape ridicule and the and ill will. When a local doctor misdiagnosed her illness, she had got worse and nearly died...... This too is dangerous work but in order to grow healthy and strong, these young believers need the Word of God. Did a Miraculous Earthquake This Month Save Israel from an Attack? Earlier this month, during planned Hezbollah attacks against Israel, a 5.2M earthquake hit the border area of northern Israel and Lebanon where Hezbollah forces are the strongest. Was the earthquake a divine act, protecting Israel from her enemies? According to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the quake had a depth of about 10 kilometers, meaning that secret underground tunnels could have suffered irreparable damage.
