He Feigns Attachment To The Qur'aan & The Sunnah Shaykh Rabee b. Haadee al-Madkhalee rahimahullaah said in his refutation of Hasan b. Farhan al-Malikee: "I say yes, we have read this work (book) with fairness and in seeking the truth, but we did not find anything but injustice with you and cutting and splicing (speech out of context), the pursuit of falsehood, and the following of whims and desires. And we find that hatred and enmity has led you to be unjust and far removed from the requirements of Taqwaa (piety). And this is from the many forms of deception employed by every person upon falsehood (Mubtil). So this was (the case with) Iblees, he did not say to Adam and Hawwa (Eve): "Indeed I am an oppressor (Dhaalim) and a Faajir (wicked/sinful)." Rather, (as Allaah, the Most High, mentions): "And he (Shaytaan) swore by Allaah to them both (saying): "Indeed I am to you from among the sincere advisors." [Surah al-A'raaf: 21]. And likewise, this was (the case with) the Pharaoh, he did not say to his people: "Indeed, I am an unbeliever, an oppressor and a tyrant." Rather, he said to them regarding the Prophet of Allaah, Moosaa: "I fear that he will change your religion, or that he will cause mischief to appear in the land." [Surah Ghaafir: 26]. The Pharaoh also said to his people: "I do not show you except that which I see (correct), and I do not guide you except to the way of right conduct." [Surah A'raaf: 29]. And likewise, the majority of the Du'aat (callers) to misguidance and falsehood, the enemies of the truth are like this; not a single person from them will say: "I am a Faajir (wicked/sinful person) and I want to lead you astray." Rather, he feigns attachment to the Qur'an and the Sunnah, he claims to love the Messenger and Islaam, and he claims to have sincerity, truthfulness, and good advising. Hence, it is in these environments and settings that he spreads his falsehood, misguidance and poison. And this Malikee is a strange example of someone who makes broad sweeping claims, as in this statement and besides it; rather, he claims to be a Salafee Hanbalee. Furthermore, his actions testify against him that he is in fact a staunch enemy of the Salafees, the Hanbalees, and even of the Noble Companions and the people of Hadeeth." A Warning From Not Speaking The Truth Explanation by Imaam Muhammad Naasir ud-Deen al-Albaanee rahimahullaah On the authority of Aboo Sa'eed al-Khudree (radiallaahu 'anhu), the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: "Let not the Haybah (awe and fear) of a people prevent a man from speaking the truth when he knows it, [or witnessed it, or heard it]." There is in this Hadeeth a strong prohibition against concealing and hiding the truth out of fear of people or out of greed and craving for sustenance and livelihood. So whoever conceals the truth out of fear of people harming him by any of the different types of harms, such as (physically) assaulting/beating (him), (verbally) abusing/insulting (him) and cutting off (the means of) his livelihood; or (he conceals the truth) out of fear of them not respecting him, and the likes of that, then he has fallen under this prohibition and has opposed the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam). So if this is the case of the person who conceals the truth while having knowledge of it; what then is the state of the person who does not suffice with that (i.e. not only does he conceal the truth), but rather he bears false testimony against Muslims who are innocent, and makes false accusations against them in their religion and their 'Aqeedah (beliefs) in order to appease the lowly ignoble people, or due to fear that they will also make false and futile accusations against him if he were not to appease and join them in their misguidance and false accusations? O Allaah, keep us firmly steadfast upon the truth, and if You Wish to test Your servants then take us to You without being put to trial. From The Fruits Of Having Tawakkul (Reliance) Upon Allaah Ibn al-Qayyim (d. 751H) - rahimahullaah- said: At-Tawakkul (reliance upon Allaah) is from the strongest means by which a servant is able to repel what he cannot bear from the harm, Dhulm (injustice and oppression) and 'Udwaan (enmity and aggression) from...
In the Name of Allaah the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy From The Fruits Of Having Tawakkul (Reliance) Upon Allaah Ibn al-Qayyim (d. 751H) - rahimahullaah- said: At-Tawakkul (reliance upon Allaah) is from the strongest means by which a servant is able to repel what he cannot bear from the harm, Dhulm (injustice and oppression) and 'Udwaan (enmity and aggression) from the people. It is from the strongest means in that regard, for indeed Allaah will suffice him, meaning, He is enough for him. And whoever has Allaah as his Fully-Sufficient Supporter and his Protector, then his enemy will have no hope against him, nor will he be harmed except for that which is unavoidable (from harm); (it is) like and reminiscent of the heat and cold, hunger and thirst (i.e. that are all unavoidable). But as for his enemy harming him through means which will achieve their desired objective (of the believer being destroyed) then that will never happen. There is a (clear) difference between harm which appears to be harmful to a servant, but which in reality is Ihsaan (benevolence and kindness) to him, although, it is harm in and of itself, and between harm which is done to him as a form of retribution (i.e. punishment). Some of the Salaf used to say: For every action Allaah, the Most High, has ordained a reward of the same kind/nature as the action (performed); whereas, the reward for having at-Tawakkul (reliance) upon Him is that He Himself will be sufficient for His servants. Hence, He mentions: "And whoever relies upon Allaah, then He (alone) will suffice him (for all of his needs)." [Surah at-Talaaq: 3]. He did not say that we will grant him such and such a reward, as He mentions with regards to other actions. Rather, He has ordained that He Himself will be sufficient for His servant who truly relies upon Him, and He will suffice him (in all his needs) and He will protect him. So if a servant truly relies upon Allaah, the Most High, then even if the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them conspired and plotted against him, He will provide a way out for him, and suffice him and support him. The Distinction Between Sunnan Al‘Aadah (Customs Or Habitual Practices) & The Sunnan Al-‘Ibaadah (Acts Of Worship) By Imaam, the Muhaddith, as-Shaykh Rabee' Bin Haadee 'Umayr Al-Madkhalee (rahimahullaah)
Bandits Of The Da'wah Ibn al-Qayyim rahimahullaah mentions: علماء السوء جلسوا على باب الجنة يدعون إليها الناس بأقوالهم، ويدعونهم إلى النار بأفعالهم. فكلما قالت أقوالهم للناس: هلموا. قالت أفعالهم: لا تسمعوا منهم، فلو كان ما دعوا إليه حقًا كانوا أول المستجيبين له، فهم في الصورة أدلاء، وفي الحقيقة قطاع الطريق. The corrupt scholars sit at the gates of Paradise, inviting people to it with their words, whilst leading them to the Hellfire with their actions/deeds. So every time their words and statements say to the people: "Come (over to us)" their actions say: "Do not listen to them." For if what they call to was the truth then they would certainly have been the first in responding to it. So they appear to be guides, but in reality, they are Quttaa' at-Tareeq (highway robbers and bandits). The Mighty Status Of Defending The Sunnah Muhammad b. Yahya adh-Dhuhlee (d.258H) rahimahullaah said: I heard Yahya b. Ma'een (d.233H) rahimahullaah say: "Defence of the Sunnah is better than fighting in the path of Allaah." So I said to Yahya: A man spends from his wealth, tires himself, and strives, yet this one is better than him? He replied: "Yes, by far." Do Not Blind Follow In The Religion Imaam Ahmad (d.241 H) rahimahullaah said: "Do not blind follow men in your religion, for indeed they are not free from falling into mistakes."
Paradise In The Dunya Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 728H) rahimahullaah said: إِنَّ فِي الدُّنْيَا جَنَّةً مَنْ لَمْ يَدْخُلْهَا لَمْ يَدْخُلْ جَنَّةَ الْآخِرَةِ “Indeed there is in the Dunya (Worldly life) a Paradise whoever does not enter it will not enter the Paradise of the Hereafter.” [1] Explanation by Shaykh Muhammad Amaan al-Jaamee rahimahullaah: That is, until he finds the sweet taste and pleasure in obeying Allaah – the Most High, and worshipping Him (alone), and becoming close and intimate with Him, and (the pleasure of) the opening and expansion of his chest, and all the hardships and difficulties that he faces become as if they are nothing and insignificant. He sees himself as if he is in Jannah (Paradise) whilst he is in the Dunya (worldly life). After that he will enter the true Paradise in the Hereafter. And Allaah’s help and aid is sought. The Fitnah Of Listening To Music & Singing Imaam Ibn al-Qayyim (d.751H) rahimahullaah said: ومعلوم عند الخاصة والعامة أن فتنة سماع الغناء والمعازف أعظم من فتنة النوح بكثير، والذي شاهدناه نحن وغيرنا وعرفناه بالتجارب أنه ما ظهرت المعازف وآلات اللهو في قوم، وفشت فيهم، واشتغلوا بها، إلا سلط الله عليهم العدو، وبلوا بالقحط والجدب وولاة السوء، والعاقل يتأمل أحوال العالم وينظر والله المستعان “And it is well-known to everyone in particular and in general that the Fitnah (tribulation) of listening to music and singing is much greater than wailing. Indeed that which we and others besides us have witnessed and have known from experience is that whenever al-Ma’aazif wa Alaatul-Lahw (musical instruments and apparatuses) appear among a people and become widespread among them and they busy themselves with it, except that Allaah will grant the enemy to have authority over them, and they will be afflicted/put to trial with drought, famine and evil rulers. The intelligent person contemplates the conditions of the world and considers (matters carefully). And Allaah's aid is sought.” Translated by Aboo ‘Abdillaah Bilaal Hussain al-Kashmiree Reference: Madaarij as-Saalikeen (1/496), Daar Kitaab al-'Arabee, Lebanon.
