Upcoming Pub/History Walking Tour Manchester 🗓 22nd August 👥 Deansgate Station: (Knott Mill Building) Whitworth Street West / Deansgate Exit (Directly opposite the Atlas Bar) 🕦 11 AM @PubHistoryTours Please share and make others aware. Manchester transformed from a modest Roman settlement called Mamucium into the world's first industrialized city during the Victorian era. Propelled by the global cotton trade and inventions like steam power, it became a powerhouse of wealth and innovation before successfully reinventing itself in the 21st century as a modern city.
