  • Personally, I have been adding the more shares of stocks in my portfolio that have slipped some 35%-40% from their peaks.

  • A page from Samit Vartak's (Founder and CIO, SageOne) newsletter shared a couple of weeks ago.

  • Alphabet (Google) issued 100-year bonds recently in British pounds and 40-year bonds in US Dollars. The deal was spectacularly oversubscribed. They originally planned to raise $15 billion in US dollars, but because they received over $100 billion in orders, they "upsized" the deal to $20 billion on the first day. For, the 100-year Sterling bond specifically, demand was even crazier: it drew 10 times more orders than the £1 billion ($1.4 billion) they were actually selling. This enabled them to reduce the interest rates that they were offering for the bonds. This is just an example of how much money is flowing into AI.

  • Clean Science & Technology is an interesting company in the chemicals space and it has been richly valued since it's IPO which is why I did not look into it all that much as an investment option. It is coming down in price now and has reached its IPO price band. This is a good opportunity for one to study the business. I don't have any current holding.

  • A general thought / personal opinion - Many small and midcaps are looking reasonable not 'cheap' but reasonable. It feels like a good rally in the broader market is not too far away, maybe a couple of months or so away. If we get a good trigger for the overall market many of these s/mid caps could see a good upside.

  • I was going through some of the older messages in the channel and saw this question. I don't know if I answered it before but let me mention this here for clarity. I sold Lasa at a loss in April of 2022, as mentioned here - https://t.me/Curious1nvestor/7072…

  • I was going through some of the older messages in the channel and saw this question. I don't know if I answered it before but let me mention this here for clarity. I sold Lasa at a loss in April of 2022, as mentioned here - https://t.me/Curious1nvestor/7072 There were some nice things in the business but the trajectory was not all that great. Anyway, it has become a disaster of a business, reporting loss after loss for every year from 2022 onwards. I don't even know what has caused it to be such a failure. The previous business by the father of the promoter of Lasa 'Omkar Specialty Chemicals' and another business from the same family that I can't remember the name of - all faced a similar fate. It feels like a pattern of some sort where businesses run well up to a point and then suddenly have fires and incidents and then face years of losses, never to recover again. I don't know if it is mere bad luck or something. Omkar specialty chem has been in losses at least since 2018 while the other company, probably delisted or merged into something at this point was also in losses after disastrous incidents before being delisted/merged. I was researching up on this company and its family group of companies which is why I came across this message and had to share what I came across.

  • Quote from the article: "The matter is under sub-judice, and we at this point would not be able to provide any further information on the same. And are fully cooperating with the government and Indian Railways officials on the matter; it is business as usual…
