SPIRIT MEAT DEVOTIONAL BY REV OLUSOLA AND REV OYENIKE AREOGUN Monday, 17th August 2026 TOPIC: PUT YOUR NATURE ON A DIET OF TRUTH John 17:17; Psalm 119:9–11 The Word of God does more than change difficult situations; it can change the wrong tendencies operating within you. Some believers keep confessing, “I am short-tempered,” “I am naturally impatient,” “I cannot control my desires,” or “That is simply the way I am.” They speak as though an ungodly disposition is a permanent part of their identity. But there is nothing you are dealing with in your nature that the Word cannot handle. When you gave your life to Christ, you received the nature of God. Therefore, anything in your conduct that contradicts Christ is not something you should excuse or protect; it is something you must bring under the sanctifying power of truth. Jesus prayed, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” The Word can purge what is impure, straighten what has become crooked, and cultivate the nature of Christ within you. If you are struggling with immorality, put yourself on a diet of purity from the Word. Find Scriptures that reveal God’s standard for your body, thoughts, and relationships. Read them, meditate upon them, confess them, and obey them continually. If stinginess has a hold upon you, search for Scriptures concerning God’s generosity and the grace of giving. If anger controls you, feed upon the portions of Scripture that reveal meekness, patience, self-control, and the character of Christ. Do not read casually and move on. Take the Word as medicine and remain on the prescription until the wrong nature loses its grip. A person who was once quick-tempered can become calm and meek. An impatient person can develop endurance. A selfish person can become generous. Truth is not powerless information; it is spiritual substance carrying the nature and life of God into the believer who receives it. Let the Word grow in your spirit until the culture of God’s Kingdom becomes stronger than the patterns you inherited from your family, environment, or past life. Do not excuse fleshly behaviour by saying, “That is how people from my background behave,” or, “Everyone in my family is like this.” Your new birth has brought you into another family, and God’s Word reveals its nature. However, transformation requires more than quoting a verse occasionally. You must remain with the truth, submit to its correction, and practise what it demands. The devil attacks the Word because he knows it is the core of your light and Christian strength. He wants you to believe that change is impossible so that you will tolerate what Christ died to deliver you from. Refuse that lie. Identify the wrong tendency, locate God’s prescription, and stay faithfully on the diet of truth. As the Word enters, light will increase, your conscience will become sharper, and the nature of Christ will become increasingly evident in your daily life. THOUGHT TO PONDER: What negative trait have I wrongly accepted as part of my identity? Which Scriptures must I consistently receive and practise until Christ’s nature replaces it? PRAYER: Father, sanctify me through Your truth. Let Your Word purge every ungodly tendency and cultivate the character and nature of Christ within me in Jesus’ name. Pastor, make arrangements. Make allowances for people. And people, register yourself for thanksgiving at your pastoral service. The Lord has done many major things for you. Come forward. Thank the Lord. Return all the glory back to Him. Rejoice in the goodness of God. We never cease in this house, according to the Word of the Lord. When you are printing your flyers and sending your testimonies, say, “God is good.” Let men gather around the goodness of God. Father, we thank You. Blessed be Thy name, O Lord. We return all the glory to You, Father. In Jesus’ name, we worship. You can drop your offerings before the Lord and dance back to your seat. Awesome God

You got a wife. You got a husband from the Lord, especially for those who had waited and waited. Students who got admission into institutions of higher learning. You heard of people who got stuck, and God helped them. Amen. You got a scholarship. You got overseas appointments or overseas offers. Places where you used to look at your boss up there, they are now inviting you to meetings at that level. Those who got a times-ten experience. One of our women in Lagos was sharing her testimony. She got a new job, and the salary was ten times the salary from the previous job. You have any of the covenant experiences. You moved from being local to being global. Whatever it is, any of the covenants in the house. Where a leaf fell off, branches came up instead. Amen. I want you to take one or two minutes to return all the glory back to the One to whom the glory is due. Say, “Father, this is my thanks.” Thanksgiving in your heart. Thanksgiving offering in your hand. In one minute, I want everyone who had peculiar spiritual encounters in the last one year to come forward. You got born again. You got baptized in the Holy Ghost. You got delivered from demonic appearances. You started hearing God. You are reading the Bible and light is opening to you. You were given a platform for Kingdom assignments. Spiritual progress happened in your life in a major way. I want you to come and rejoice before the Lord. You were able to lead souls to Christ. You were able to have Kingdom impact in the lives of others. We want you to return all the glory back to God and say, “Father, in this assembly, we always celebrate Your goodness because You are a good God.” Yes, let the choir. Lift up your hands and thank the Lord.

[Mummy on the Altar] Hallelujah. Advertisers of God’s Goodness Assembly, shout Hallelujah! Amen. We are going to do a special thanksgiving now before we take our leave. I am going to ask for permission from Daddy. God will allow you to start sharing testimony as part of your order of service in this assembly, because you are Advertisers of His Goodness Assembly. You will have a lot of testimonies. Lots and lots of testimonies. We want to thank the Lord. This is a special thanksgiving. God will allow us to share. Get your Special thanksgiving offerings ready. Your pastor will come and take your normal Sunday offering. Once you hear your condition, we have repented of hiding the goodness of God. Once any of these things I mention has happened in your life, jump up with rejoicing and dance forward before the Lord with a grateful heart and a thanksgiving heart. The God of Heaven. We are looking at the last one year. This might look simple or small. I will start with the physical, then I will mention the spiritual. You bought a car. God gave you a car. Wait until your matter. You are going to dance. You are going to rejoice. A special thanksgiving. The account number will be there for those who will do transfers. Those who got a promotion. Hallelujah. You got a promotion. People were laid off in their places of work. Some were demoted. But you were promoted. Are you there? You got a new job. You had waited and cried, and God blessed you with a baby. You had been waiting and got pregnant. You delivered a miracle baby. All within the last one year. You started a new business. Your business multiplied astronomically. Where you were dealing in thousands, you moved to hundreds of thousands. From millions, you moved into billions. What a God.

Daddy declaring Impartation for the Communion over us Anyone under the sound of my voice this morning, as we break bread, if you are entering a cycle of time and a season of time that was set by a curse and an evil covenant in your ancestry, at this communion table, that cycle is broken off your life. What took your father, what took your mother, divine exemption for you. Long life and longevity are your portion in Christ. As we come to this table, He came to declare the year of the Lord’s favour, and that year continues to manifest in the lives and affairs of those who allow the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, You do not need our permission. You are the Lord of this gathering. Your Word says, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” Where You are Lord, You bring the liberty of the sons of God. Lord, I pray for everyone, as we break this bread and take this wine, for liberty from the tyranny of demonic corruption on the earth. Let Your people step into the expression and experience of that liberty in every form, shape, and manner. Your body will not suffer what they call sickness of childhood. You will grow in grace from glory to glory. Everyone on the earth is subject to change. Only change from glory to glory. God does not do best things. He does better things. No matter how good you have come, He will do better for you. Father, according to these words, we approach this table of the covenant again today. We sanctify this bread and this wine. We honour the body and the blood of Jesus. We honour the cross on which He died. We thank You for the stripes He bore. He did it for us. We will represent Him. We thank You. We give You glory. Whatever is contrary to what He died for and paid for, showing up anywhere, we bring it to the judgment of the blood of Jesus. You said when we take this bread and take this wine in a worthy manner, we are subject to the justification of the body and the blood of Jesus. So let everyone, in their physical life, experience justification of the body. He took your sickness and infirmity. You will not take it. You will not carry what the sickness and infirmity Jesus carried for us. By the blood of Jesus, we overcome the devil and the works of the devil. Any voice shouting against anyone in the spirit, from anywhere, we swallow it up by the blood of Jesus. The voice of the blood. The blood that speaks better things than the blood of Abel. Lord, we mix our faith with Your Word today, and we thank You. We give You the praise. We give You the glory. Blessed be the name of the Lord. To this end, we break this bread and take this wine, in Jesus’ name. You can take the bread and the wine. It is too late to be small. The days of small things are over.

There was an election in Osun state, and it has been concluded Nigeria will be peaceful. Our work is not done. We keep praying throughout until the 2027 presidential election. God has spoken over this country. The prophecy of God will overtake Nigeria.

On Wednesday, I was teaching about faith, and somebody said, “I don’t need a minister again.” So now, take the microphone and continue the teaching. You cannot do that. You will always need a carrier of grace. They will always need you, and you will always deliver, in Jesus’ name.     What are we going to do next? Communion. I want to make a call for anybody here. I told you, anybody here who, as I was preaching, [Daddy welcoming those who responded]

Two minutes more. Pray and finish your part of the prayer. You have come on a good day for this service. It is a good day in the Spirit. Stop complaining about what you are doing physically now. See what God is doing supernaturally for you. I have it in my spirit to tell you today, when you leave this service, you will see. You will see things God has kept for you, things God has hidden from other people, things Satan is trying to hide from you. You will see. Lift your hands and thank Him. You receive as much as your hunger can take and your faith can take. But I tell you, when they send for you, do not say you are not available. Tell them, “I am available.” Amen. You say, “I am not sure I can do it now.” He is your ability. You are His availability. All of you ministers who are here, stay a little bit. The rest of you, go back to your seats because you represent a corporate entity. You represent a lot more people than are here.

Our Father, we thank You. Some of you focus on the vision, but He shows you the provision. The provision came before the vision. The prophecy was not what started the work to manifest. It was settled in the heart of God. God finishes something before starting it. You will see what God does. A man came from Lagos to start building a house that he was not planning to live in. I do not think the man lived in that house until he died. After we went from that place to our own house, he still did not move there. They came to bury him there after some time. He lived long, but he died.       There are people whom God is giving assignments connected to what is troubling you today, and you will see it. You will not make foolish mistakes like Elimelech, who left for a place God was leaving and entered nothing. No. You will be like Boaz, who stayed and waited. His wife came to meet him, and they spoke of Boaz as an ancestor of Jesus Christ. Can you imagine? She would have been eliminated. I pray for you, nobody will take your place, in the name of Jesus.       In the name of Jesus, let the beauty of the Lord wrap around you. In Jesus’ name. Father, I have done my part. Now let the Holy Spirit step into this arena and do the work of the Lord, in the name of Jesus. You have five minutes to pray. Thank You, Lord Jesus. I have it in my spirit to tell somebody that nations will start sending for you. Nations are opening up for somebody. They will call for you. May you hear your portion from the Lord. Yes. No wasted labour, in the name of Jesus.
