Private Edwin Francis Jemison In the spring of 1861, as the South rose to defend its independence and homes from Northern invasion, sixteen-year-old Edwin Francis Jemison answered the call. he enlisted in Company C (Pelican Grays), 2nd Louisiana Infantry. Edwin served in the Peninsula Campaign. On July 1, 1862, at the Battle of Malvern Hill during Lee’s successful defense of Richmond, the seventeen-year-old fell in a gallant charge. Accounts describe him struck down by artillery while advancing in the front rank — one of many young Confederates who gave everything for Dixie. Deo Vindice

Stone Mountain is one of the Appalachian Mountains and one of the largest monoliths in North America. It is located in the USA, in the state of Georgia. The summit is at an elevation of 512 meters above sea level, or approximately 250 meters above the surrounding plain. The mountain is more than 8 km in circumference. The most famous attraction of this mountain is the world's largest carved bas-relief, the "Confederate Memorial," all work on which was completed by March 3, 1972. Deo Vindice

“South Carolina is henceforth not only our Mother but our only Sovereign, who has sole right to our allegiance. The whole, undivided loyalty of our heart and conscience (we speak not only as a Carolinian, but as a Catholic theologian) must be hers and hers alone. May the God of Peace guide her counsels and bless her with ever growing prosperity! May the Lord of Hosts shield her, if need be, and bless with victory her arms, if they must use them to maintain her honor and her independence as a sovereign commonwealth.” – Bishop Patrick Neeson Lynch, Dec 22nd 1860.
Southern Nationalist Thomas RR Cobb of Ga with his daughter Lucy. She would die at age 13 before the War causing much grief to Thomas. He’d go on to be a founding member of a Confederacy and a Key advocate for Secession in GA. He’d be tasked with writing the Confederate Constitution in Montgomery. He’d go on to be killed in Battle at Fredricksburg in 1862 dying for the independence of his homeland.

"There’s not a dime's worth of difference between the two major parties" - George Wallace, 1968
"The instance of Jefferson has led to a supposition that French radicalism found hospitality in the South. To the extent that it was linked with the cause of American independence, this was true; but when that cause had been won, and the South began to consider its necessities and the more permanent arrangements of peace, libertarian and equalitarian doctrines languished. It has consistently exhibited a distrust of social programs initiated on the basis of hypothesis. One could go further and say that the South has a deep suspicion of all theory, perhaps of intellect. It has always been on the side of blood and soil, of instinct, of vitalism. Something in its climate, in its social life predisposes it to feel that "gray is all theory, and green is life's golden tree." – Richard Weaver, «The Southern Tradition at bay» p.18

Home in Dixie Oh I wish I were in the land of cotton Which rarely do I wish For I am planted deeply here In Christ, kin and kith. Old times there are not forgotten This we do all attest Our graves, statues, and our songs Flags and gloried myth. Those that have left us, look away And yearn to be back home Where Magnolia flowers scent the night And coon dogs meant to roam Yes, I was born in Dixie’s land Early on a frosty morning And if I ever stray from her My heart would turn to mourning Hooray, Hooray, Hooray, Hooray! I shall take my stand again As my fathers call me too For Home is Dixie’s Land! -By A Dixie Anon
