  • 13 авг.I work in construction, and 5 years of that was exclusively roofing. I still do lots of roofs. I lay this exact conversation down to each customer. My roofer's names are Tyler, Stephen, Bryan, Caleb, Alfredo, among others. (Note only one Hispanic, who is legal.) I tell my customers I find it morally appaling how people abuse illegal scab labor to do one of the most dangerous jobs, and that I hire white and pay them almost $40/hour. Its not that I lay it on thick, I simply contextualize why I charge more than others. And guess what? In 9 years I have only had 4 customers turn me down.
