The Kiljava bus sign-up is now open!💥

🌲Kiljava 24.8.🌲 Orientation week is just around the corner, which means it’s almost time to head to the Guild’s traditional Kiljava event! Even though the fuksis and BIGs will take a headstart, all older students are warmly welcome to join the festivities! The easiest way to get there (and back!) is to hop on our own bus, which leaves from Otaranta at 18:30🚌 The round trip costs 15€, and payments will be checked upon boarding. You can also arrive with your own transport completely for free. Sign up opens TODAY at 16:00 and stays open until 23.8. Note! Whether you arrive by bus or on your own, please remember to still sign up!

Summer ending BIKE TRIP 🚲🏕️☀️🌻🥰 The ending of summer biking trip is coming 🤩⛱️👙 As the summer holidays are almost over, it's a lovely time to cycle one last time to   Kopparnäs in the mood of the Fysikkokilta bike trip 😎 The sports coordinates are organising the (long-awaited) one-night bike trip to Kopparnäs on 22.-23.8. The distance per day is about 50 km and altogether about 90-100 km, but you can shorten the trip by joining at any station of the regional train U. If you don't fancy cycling, you can join the trip by car 🛺 The organizers will provide some camping food, a tire repairing kit and the usual fire-making equipment. You can sign up without a tent, hammock or bike (the latter at your own risk) 🏕️ These can then be worked out as a group 🙂‍↕️ The sign-up is open here! Tl;dr: What? Domestic mid-length excursion!🐸🛣️📣 We have a fun uncle as a bus driver, when uncle drives a bus the physicist are on excursion!🚌🎶 The Guild of Physics' Domestic Mid-Length Excursion (KPP) is back this September from the 6th to the 9th! On the Domestic Mid-Length Excursion, you'll get to travel around Finland by bus with fellow physicists. The program itself remains a secret to the participants, but you can be sure that a diverse array of activities awaits.🏕️🤸🌞 The excursion price is still uncertain, but it will cost no more than 99 e. The price includes bus transportation, accommodations and shared activities, but not all food costs. The adventure starts on Sunday 6.9. at 13, and ends on Wednesday 9.9. in the evening in Otaniemi. Registration for the excursion opens already on Saturday 15.8 at 12:00 PM. There are around 43 spots available, so it's best to act quickly!😎 WHAT: Domestic Mid-Length Excursion!! This summer's badge of merits project⚜️ During this summer, we will be discussing badges of merits and other accolades! The aim is to hold three (3) discussions, where everyone interested on the topics is welcome. The discussions are held at OK1. Precise locations will be announced closer to the discussions. Discussions and their times 1. Why do accolades exist? (Wed 15.7. at 18.00, U113) 💭 What do we wish to accomplish with badges of merit? What kind of guild culture do we wish to encourage with them? 2. For what do we wish to give accolades, and in what ways? (Wed 22.7.) 🥇 For what kind of work do we wish to reward people? How should different rewards and accolades be related to one another? 3. The current system and other solutions (Wed 5.8.) 📝 Does the current system give us what we want from badges of merit? Fyysikkokilta x Matrix x Resonanssi x Integralis Summer Sitsit 🇬🇷🏝️🍋🌺🪩🕺 Mamma Mia, Here We Go Again! The traditional summer sitsit between Aalto University’s Fyysikkokilta and the University of Helsinki’s Matrix, Resonanssi and Integralis are making a return on Friday 31.7. The students from Kumpula get to call Otaniemi home for the evening, as this time both the sitsit and the afterparty will be held at Smökki. The cocktail event starts at 17.30, and the gong rings at 18.00. There will be Mediterranean flavours, cold drinks, new friends, dancing until sunrise and more than enough ABBA. Voulez-Vous? What? 🐻🎉 Guild room's 10th birthday 🎉🎂 Our guild is soon celebrating a round anniversary, but more importantly, kiltis is turning 10 years old ! The birthday will be naturally celebrated at the guild room. We will serve 🍰 cake 🎂 in addition to other party-appropriate snacks. The 🌭 grill ♨️ will also be hot, so you can bring your own food to grill. Outdoors PIP is happening this Friday!🍻🏃 The sign-up went full so we'll be having a never before seen spectacle of 2 back to back PIP games.
