The ebb and flow are but one tide, The guideless has the surest guide, The very great is very small, And he has all who gives all. Perhaps that is what we learn only after walking through enough highs and lows: Not every setback is a defeat, neither every pause is a loss. Not everything that looks small today will remain small tomorrow. There is something powerful about continuing without becoming bitter, giving without keeping count, and working quietly without needing the world to validate every step. The journey may take more than it gives for a while. But perhaps that is also part of becoming. And in the end, he has all who gives all.
🎥 New video is live. UPSC CSE 2028 — are you preparing, or just collecting PDFs? 📂 Three questions before you watch: 1️⃣ Two years from now, will you walk into the exam hall with clarity — or still be asking what to study and what to skip? 🤔 2️⃣ Everyone reads the same books. So why do only a few convert that reading into marks — and which side will you be on? ✍️ 3️⃣ The syllabus will still be there in 2027. But will the 2-year head-start? ⚡ This video breaks down exactly how CLARITY 2028 takes an absolute beginner and makes them exam-ready — Build → Integrate → Perform → Crack. 🎯 Watch before you plan your 2028 journey 👇 🔗 Video
Fear is strange. Perhaps fear is psychological, but not imaginary. It is the mind taking our insecurities, doubts and unfinished questions and projecting them onto the future. We are rarely afraid of the moment itself. We are afraid of what that moment might say about us. What if I am not good enough? What if all the effort was not enough? These are not really questions. They are thoughts shaped by our insecurities, made louder by an uncertain future. And slowly, the possibility becomes a reality in our head long before it ever happens. Maybe that is why fear feels so real. It is not always an external threat. Sometimes it is simply our own insecurity, given a shape and placed in front of us. But perhaps the answer is not to become fearless. Perhaps it is to become comfortable with uncertainty to accept that something may go wrong without allowing that possibility to diminish everything we have become along the way.

When will I finally believe that I am worthy enough? I sometimes think the answer is obvious: perhaps when I succeed. When there is something tangible to point to and say, now I have proved it. But that thought feels increasingly strange. Because I know what I have given to this. I have tried to find the best way to do it, followed that path as honestly as I could, and given it everything I had. Whatever the result may be, I don’t think I could have asked more of myself. And yet, so much of how I see myself still seems to depend on one question: Will I make it? Perhaps that is where the confusion lies. We tend to think of being and becoming as two different things, as though we are unfinished until we arrive somewhere. But perhaps becoming is itself a form of being. The person I have become through all of this is not some provisional version waiting for a result to validate him. I still want to succeed. Very much. But I am beginning to wonder whether success should have the authority to decide what these years were worth. Maybe the real task now is to allow myself to recognise that I have already become someone I can respect, even while knowing that I am not finished becoming. Perhaps I don’t need to wait for the result to believe that I am enough.

THE MENTORAID STORY One Year In It began with a student. Margi secured All India Rank 4 in UPSC CSE 2024, and while everyone celebrated her moment, one man noticed something quieter sitting underneath it. The ecosystem around aspirants was full of coaching and content — but genuine, structured mentorship was rare. That gap became the starting point for MentorAID. The early months were unglamorous. One person. A home setup. A green screen. Doing sales calls, mentoring, and content — all at once. Every struggle any solo ed-preneur knows. Yet within eight months, results had already started coming in through both Mains and Interviews. Then came the proof. Deepali Mahto at Rank 36 — MentorAID's top rank at Mains and Rank 7 Rajah through Interview Mentorship so far. Alongside them, many others. Across the year, MentorAID crossed 60+ selections. What stands out most is that ten of these candidates had stayed with Utkarsh Sir for four to five years — trusting the process, and finally seeing it pay off. Persistence meeting the right guidance. None of this happened solo for long. Shailesh, Abhinav, and Sajid came in early to help with ideation and research — the core members who believed before there was much to believe in. Ashish took ownership of one-on-one mentorship calls. Then came one of the proudest moments — Ritika Ma'am joining as co-founder, turning a personal mission into a shared one. Neha and Vivek have since joined as the team continues to grow. From one person to a team of six. MentorAID hasn't leaned on heavy marketing. Growth has come through word of mouth — and through results that speak for themselves. While institutions compete for visibility, MentorAID has quietly been building something harder to manufacture: trust . One year in. From a single green screen to a proper studio. From one man to a family of six. From Margi's rank inspiring the idea — to Deepali(36), Shrishti(160), Ankit(217), Shubanshi (381) and 60+ others proving it. Year One is done. Year Two starts now.

I’ve realised that the countdown affects me much more than the exam itself. When someone says, “Only 17 days left,” nothing changes objectively. I still have the same notes, the same strengths, the same weaknesses. But something changes inside. I stop looking at what I can do today and start calculating everything I haven’t done. Suddenly, unfinished topics appear bigger than completed ones. Every hour feels expensive. Even taking a short break starts feeling like a bad decision. It’s strange how a number on a calendar can quietly dictate your emotional state. I don’t think the pressure comes only from the exam. It comes from watching time become visible. I’ve noticed that on the days I don’t know the exact countdown, I work better. My attention stays on the page in front of me. The moment I become conscious of “how many days are left,” my mind begins negotiating with time instead of studying. Maybe that’s the trap. The calendar is meant to organise our work, but somewhere along the way, I let it start evaluating me. So now, whenever I catch myself counting days, I try to return to the desk instead. Because the countdown never writes a single answer. Only I do.

The Cost of Reading for an Exam I miss the way I used to read. Once upon a time, books were places. A paragraph could become a city. A sentence could become a conversation. I would imagine faces I had never seen, castles that never existed, forests, oceans, revolutions, friendships. Reading wasn’t an activity. It was a form of travel. Now it feels like accounting. The moment I read something, my mind rushes to assign it a category. Will this make a good Mains example? Can I quote this in Ethics? Is this relevant for Essay? Before I even understand an idea, I have already filed it away. Every fact receives a weightage. Every paragraph is judged for utility. Every page is evaluated for return on investment. Sometimes I catch myself reading a history book without seeing the history. A philosophy essay without feeling the philosophy. Even a novel isn’t spared. I find myself searching for governance examples, ethical dilemmas, social issues, or quotations. The exam has quietly changed not just what I read, but how I read. Very little is allowed to remain… just a story.
There was a time when I believed success and failure were destinations. Now I think they’re just weather. A few years ago, I missed the UPSC final list. Not by a hundred marks. By a handful. I remember staring at the marksheet for hours, convinced that those numbers had become my identity. Months later, I found myself teaching the very lessons my failures had taught me. The very experiences I once called failures had quietly become my credibility. It made me wonder. If the same event can feel like failure on one day and become your greatest strength on another, was it ever truly a failure? Life has a strange way of changing the meaning of our memories. The medal gathers dust. The rejection becomes a story. The promotion becomes routine. The heartbreak becomes wisdom. Nothing stays what it first appears to be. We suffer because we treat moments like verdicts. But they are only snapshots taken in the middle of a much longer journey. A sunset isn’t the end of the sun. It’s only the end of the day. Maybe success is temporary because satisfaction adapts. Maybe failure is temporary because understanding evolves. Both keep moving.
Received this message today morning. It made my day. Happy Guru Purnima everyone! ♥️
