  • Joshua Hanes “The 11 am CST memorial service for Dad is at Hayhurst Funeral Home. You can also view it live from the link in this post.” https://www.hayhurstfuneralhome.com/m/obituaries/stephen-hanes/Memories

  • Son Joshua Hanes: “It is with deep sadness that I let all of my Dad’s loving community know that he passed on from this life on Wednesday, February 4th. He was a man of deep faith and deeper love. He lived his life in prayer and shared his love with anyone willing to receive. We have scheduled a memorial service for Dad on Friday, February 13 at 11 am. If there are any changes, we will make sure to communicate to everyone. The link for this is on his memorial page at Hayhurst Funeral Home. We’ve started a GoFundMe to help with the miscellaneous expenses and bills for Dad and his wife Becky to help ease the stress of his sudden passing. https://gofund.me/6d7925fac Without any doubt, my dad would want everyone to know that he’s dancing in his new glorified body on the streets of gold with Jesus and getting to catch up with his loved ones, parents, my mom and his late wife, grandchildren, and friends. He always told me how much he looked forward to going home someday. Despite the sadness that I and the rest of the family feel right now, we know that he’s in a better place with no more pain. Information about the service and access to view it live online for those that won’t be able to make it in person can be found here: https://www.hayhurstfuneralhome.com/m/obituaries/stephen-hanes/Memories My dad would want me to tell you all that he loved you. And if you ever asked for prayer, he added you to his list and prayed intently for you. When both of my parents were on this side of creation, they’d add all their prayers to a whiteboard so that they could spend the evening praying over everyone. I remember joining them a few times and seeing the faithful devotion they had to Jesus and all those who sent in their prayer requests. Thank you for being a part of his life and his ministry. He was truly a pastor to the pastorless, and he will see you all again soon. Maranatha.”

  • Guys if you’ve been going through spiritual attack after attack, it’s gonna be OK! The Devil attacked Jesus too, and we all know how THAT turned out! None of us are perfect. Stay in remembrance of God’s Amazing Grace and Amazing Love. Although The Most High God knew everything about us, He still wanted to save us to the uttermost. Guys, when we feel our lives are cracked and in broken pieces, do not fret because that’s how God’s Light gets in. The Light of God presses through the cracks of our broken lives and fills us to overflowing with the radiance of His Glory. I’m thankful for Jesus because He is our missing “peace” and He knows exactly how to put us back together again. Much Love and Maranatha!!! Romans 5:8 KJV 8. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” John 10:28-29 KJV 28. “and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.”

  • FROM THE WOMB TO THE TOMB GOD IS WITH US. LET’S BE A WORSHIPPER OF GOD! YOUR WEAPON IS A MELODY OF PRAISE ON YOUR LIPS!!!!!!!   In the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 13 verses 10-17 we find a woman who had been crippled and bent over for 18 years. First of all, we find that Jesus and this woman were both in the synagogue. Of course, there were many others there that day as well. It was on a Sabbath day. Why was the woman there? The reason was this woman was a worshipper of God.   No matter her pain, no matter her affliction, this woman found time to praise and worship God. From these scriptures, we find the woman did not approach Jesus, but it was that Jesus approached her. Jesus said to her, “Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness.” As soon as the Lord touched her; instantly, she could stand up.   To many she was just a nobody. But to Jesus, she was precious in His sight. Maybe you feel insignificant. Maybe you feel like you are no one special. Let me say this, if you are called by God’s Name YOU ARE somebody special to God. This woman wasn’t begging for anything. She was just merely doing what she loved to do and that was to worship God.   Let’s allow God to break-in with breakthrough and take down everything that is afflicting us. God is well able to “weigh” the mountains that stand before us. We serve the God that cannot fail. In just a moment of time, Jesus can touch you, and everything will change. Don’t listen to those that are like the “religious” leader who was in the synagogue. He was following man's traditions. His heart wasn’t in it. This particular woman was one who worshipped God “in Spirit and in Truth.” From the “Womb-to-the-Tomb,” God is for us. The “wind” and the “waves” of life still know His Name, and they still obey. Much Love and Maranatha.

  • ARMOR UP!

  • Guys, in in these very turbulent and perilous times, let’s try to remember that we can rest in Christ’s sacrifice. In Philippians 4:7, it says: And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. One of the sacrifices mentioned in the Old Testament is mentioned as a Peace sacrifice or sometimes translated as the Thanksgiving sacrifice. It is known as the ‘shalem’ sacrifice. The root behind this word is the word ‘shalom’ whereby we get the word, peace. This sacrifice foreshadows the perfect peace and restoration that a believer has with God through a perfect sacrifice of peace, the Lord Jesus, who offered himself 2000 years ago.   Since we are complete in Jesus and have peace with God, we need not entertain spirits of discontent, desperation, depression, fear, unhappiness, regret, or any such thing. But we can rest in His ‘peace sacrifice.’ Over the past few months, the world has been in a season of chaos as it continues moving forward taking the masses into a period of economic uncertainty. The markets have been in free-fall, with inflation reaching historic highs worldwide.   In addition, wars and rumors of wars flood the headlines. With all that is happening, it would be difficult to feel any peace these days! But the Lord who dwells within us, is our PEACE... He is our Prince of Peace! Guys, it's truly a matter of focus. And though it may take some internal discipline these days, the reality of our identity, our completeness in Jesus, is a totally valid and real foundation for resting in His peace, a peace, in the midst of real threats and serious turmoil, and that Peace surpasses all understanding! Guys, I love you dearly. We’ll be meeting in the clouds at any time. We’ll See you in the air. God bless you and Maranatha. And, by the way, Shalom!

  • 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 KJV 9. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, Neither have entered into the heart of man, The things which God hath prepared for them that love him.   10. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”

  • Guys, let’s go from survival to revival. Sing and shout like Paul and Silas did during the midnight hour and the walls began to shake. Face your giants with confidence! Though the sails of your life may be in shreds rest assured your anchor holds. God IS in control even when everything seems out of control. Quit looking at your giants like setbacks, but rather, look at those setbacks like divine setups. I declare in Jesus’ Name, God will set you up to receive an overwhelming victory in what you are facing this day! It is time to Armor Up! Armor Up with praise. The Most High God still reigns!!! Maranatha.

  • STAY THE COURSE AND KEEP PRESSING ON NO MATTER WHAT: Guys, let our motto be, “No matter how strong the opposition, we will get up each morning and put one foot in front of the other.” We may look like plodders, and we may be slow as turtles, but keep your mind set on faith and believe that we will finish the race that God has set before us, no matter how strong the opposition is.   It’s not how many started, but how many finish. We are not just starters, we are finishers. We will finish our race, and we will keep the faith. We may not be remembered by many in life, but God will shout from the housetops of heaven what we did in life for Him. And there is a prize laid up for us in heaven.”   I remember a day a long while back that the presence of God had enveloped me. I was basking in the glory of it all. Then the Lord spoke a word to my heart, and He said, “I AM THE GOD THAT CAN NOT FAIL!” I felt overwhelmed after that and all I could do was cry. No matter how you feel or what you are going through today, we serve the God that cannot fail.   Many want God’s anointing but don’t want the crushing that produces the oil. Stay in the press of life. Let’s finish our race. Being a born-again Believer has NEVER been easy in any generation. That’s why God called YOU! You were born for such a time as this.   Guys, on a personal note, I’ve been on hospice care since about the middle of November. I have a great bunch of nurses. These ladies seem like angels to me. I even have morphine now for the overwhelming pain that comes. The hospice care has made life a little more bearable through this thing called life. I think it’s called palliative care. Palliative care is specialized medical care focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of serious illnesses, aiming to improve the quality of life for both patients and their families. It can be provided regardless of the stage of the illness or whether it is curable. Let’s keep pressing on no matter what life may throw at us.   Guys, I do desire to put out more videos but sometimes it just feels really tough to do. But as long as I have breath, I will try my best to post something on social media. Keep fighting the good fight of faith. Life as we know it is getting ready to change and it will change in the twinkling of an eye. I love you guys. Much Love and Maranatha!   2 Timothy 4:7 KJV “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:”

  • Guys in Proverbs 4:23 it says: “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.”   The new creation life is a precious work of God, and Scripture makes one thing clear: what God births must be guarded. Your identity in Christ is secure, but the heart that carries it must be protected. Proverbs 4:23 commands us to guard our hearts with all diligence, for from it flow the issues of life. The heart is the wellspring of thought, desire, and direction -- and whatever gains access there will shape how we live.   Bitterness, fear, and offense are subtle intruders. They rarely announce themselves loudly; they seep in quietly through disappointment, unmet expectations, and wounded relationships. Left unchecked, they harden the heart, distort perception, and drain spiritual vitality. The enemy does not always seek to destroy identity outright—often, he seeks to contaminate it, knowing that a guarded heart sustains life while an unguarded heart slowly leaks it.   Guarding the heart is not about withdrawal or emotional numbness; it is about discernment. It is learning to filter what we allow to dwell within us. Forgiveness becomes a shield. Truth becomes a gatekeeper. Peace becomes a boundary. The Spirit alerts us when something threatens to take root that does not belong. A guarded heart remains tender toward God while firm against what opposes His work.   When the heart is protected, identity remains clear. We respond rather than react. We discern rather than assume. We walk in wisdom rather than impulse. The new creation life thrives in a heart that refuses to harbor offense, rejects fear, and uproots bitterness before it spreads. What we allow to stay in the heart eventually shapes the course of our lives.   Guarding the heart is an act of obedience and love. It honors the work Jesus has done within us and preserves the freedom He secured. The believer who guards their heart walks with clarity, peace, and resilience, able to carry the presence of God without distortion.   Guys, take watch over your heart. And trust me, I’m preaching to myself big time! We as Believers, in these last days, truly need to guard our hearts especially while we continue waiting (and waiting) for the Rapture of the Church. Don’t let discouragement take root in your heart. Always remember, since God says it’s coming then that gives me the comfort of knowing the Rapture is coming. After all, patience carries a lot of “wait.”   While we continue to wait let’s close every door to bitterness, fear, and offense, and open wide the gates to truth and peace. Refuse to let yesterday’s wounds contaminate today’s grace. Let forgiveness cleanse, let wisdom stand guard, and let the Spirit be your watchman. Protect the life God has placed within you, for what you guard will grow, and what you tolerate will rule. Stand firm, keep your heart pure, and walk forward in the strength of a new creation life -- clear, guarded, and free. Much Love and Maranatha!!!

  • Merry Christmas!!!

  • JESUS TEACHES ABOUT THE WAY TO HEAVEN: Matthew 7:13-14 13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Jesus is teaching his disciples about the way to heaven. He's just simply saying that people are presented with two ways and two gates. One gate is narrow and the other gate is wide. But there's only one choice. One decision. There's only one way to heaven and that's through Jesus down the narrow road. Now on the broad road, there are many people on it who follow other religions thinking they've found the way to heaven. And then there's people that think by them having been good enough has found the way. And of course, there are the ones who say there isn't even any God. Folks, there are many traveling along this broad road thinking everything is just fine. Back in the Old Testament the Jewish people would offer sacrifices unto the Lord. Back in that day they lived in a walled city. This means they had many different gates serving many different functions. One gate they had was known as the Sheeps Gate. This gate was used to bring in the sacrificial lambs or whatever animal they were going to use for a sacrifice. That's exactly what Jesus did for us. He left the glory of heaven and came through the Sheeps Gate of the earth, if you will, and became the sacrificial lamb for the whole world. Glory! Jesus sacrificed his life on the Cross so we wouldn't have too. To get to where Jesus is just takes a choice. It just takes a decision. Those that call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. We have creation to remind us everyday that man has a choice. The sun comes up every morning revealing light and the sun goes down every evening revealing darkness. We are reminded daily that we have a choice between light and darkness. I don't know about you but I'm glad that Jesus saved me to the uttermost. I would like to close right here. But I would like to leave you with one of my favorite scriptures. And it's found in the book of Acts. Till next time, God bless and Maranatha. Acts 4:12 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
