The paper was lengthy, required more time for processing, and many questions felt unpredictable with a few seemingly random or slightly weird elements that did not fit neatly into the conventional patterns aspirants are generally accustomed to. UPSC once again reminded aspirants that preparation cannot be limited only to conventional sources or expected areas. At the same time, remember one important thing — difficulty affects everyone equally. A tougher paper generally means a lower average score across candidates. If the paper felt difficult to you, it most likely felt difficult to thousands of others as well. So avoid judging your performance based on assumptions or social media reactions immediately after the exam. Cut-off may come down, but there is no need to start calculating everything right now.
