A Station Beyond the Lights of Paradise… | Shekh Wahid Khorasani https://youtube.com/shorts/Hh0X583aMpc?si=tXWra8CrFS2gKgvS
"Know that even the small sins can grow into great ones under certain circumstances. Among these is when the sinner is a scholar who is followed by others. If he commits the sin in such a way that others witness it, his sin becomes greater. These are the sins that are followed by knowledge, and they live on even after his death, spreading harm across the world. Blessed is the one whose sins die with him. Thus, a scholar has two responsibilities: the first is to refrain from sin, and the second is to conceal it. Just as his sins multiply, so too does his reward for good deeds when they are followed by others." — Al-Ḥaqā’iq fī Maḥāsin al-Akhlaq, by al-Fayḍ al-Kāshānī
🔸 A Private Note… In the Barzakh—the intermediate world—the friends of God and the righteous who have crossed into it are granted surpassing capacities and extraordinary powers. At times they may aid their loved ones in this world, through answered supplications and permitted interventions. Yet because they now stand upon realities and behold perfections, you see them turn from materialities, rise above worldly concerns, and shun the base and trivial. Instead, they keep faith with their families and make amends for their companions with gifts of the noble and exalted, not the wreckage sought and craved by the people of the world. Thus do they furnish them with means of knowledge and obedience, and with paths of goodness and beneficence. Hence, knowledge is often found rooted in households: a jurist may depart this life content—his worth unknown, wronged, perhaps martyred—then his hand is outstretched in his new abode and he is granted empowerment in the life that follows. He intervenes so that his successor may take up the way of knowledge and deed, and be granted success to remain upon the course and continue the path. For this reason, the gnostics who perceive counsel us to maintain bonds with the deceased among the people of learning and virtue: by reciting al-Fātiḥah for their souls, by visiting on their behalf, or by giving charity in their name. They hasten to repay debts and return kindness, and—with the capacity and power granted them there—one often perceives the effect swiftly.
