Israeli forces entered Abidin village in western Daraa countryside with 10 military vehicles and abducted four young men. Two were released hours later; two remain in detention. The operation fits a pattern tied to road blockades: villagers have repeatedly blocked access routes with stones to prevent Israeli incursions; Israeli forces respond by clearing the barriers and reopening roads, then detaining youths from the area.

📌 UNHCR Deputy Representative in Syria Aseer Madaien said Syria has met the conditions for the safe and voluntary return of refugees and displaced people. 📌 She called on host states not to pressure refugees into forced return. 📌 More than 7,000 schools were destroyed and need rehabilitation. 📌 Idlib, Aleppo, Rural Damascus, Damascus and Homs have seen the largest returns. 📌 Falling international funding has cut aid to Syria, and needs far exceed what organizations provide. 📌 The UN has no plan to reduce its support for Syria. UNICEF is supporting schools and water networks, and the WHO hospitals, in return areas.
📌 SDF Kobane / Ain al-Arab official Mahmut Berhudan said that the YPG-SDF will announce its dissolution within days and that the autonomous administration structure will be dismantled. 📌 He said problems with integration into the Syrian army and government have been 99% overcome and that integration is complete in theory. 📌 He put the number of fighters integrated into the Syrian army at 10,000, possibly reaching 12,000, and dismissed estimates of a 70,000–100,000-strong force. 📌 The official said the group has no demand for a separate state and never sought one, calling for a new Syria built on "one army, one state, one flag, a common homeland." Turkey's Interior Ministry said it is legally reviewing the temporary protection status of its 2.26 million Syrians, citing changed conditions after Assad's fall while ruling out abrupt changes. The review signals a policy shift: the framework, introduced in 2012, is being reassessed alongside mechanisms for "regular migration," a tacit acknowledgment that the displacement is no longer temporary. Some 710,000 Syrians have returned since December 8, 2024, but roughly 1.5 million remain, with about one-third born in Turkey.
