Xauusd fundamental outlook 14-August • 🇺🇸 US inflation is cooling: July CPI and PPI came in relatively soft, reducing expectations of another Fed rate hike in September — fundamentally supportive for Gold. • 📉 Lower rate expectations remain Gold-positive: Reduced Fed hike risk can pressure Treasury yields and lower the opportunity cost of holding Gold. • ⚠️ Iran / Strait of Hormuz tensions remain a key wildcard: Continued uncertainty supports safe-haven demand, although higher oil prices could revive inflation concerns and complicate the Fed outlook. • 🇺🇸 Big US data ahead today: July Retail Sales and Michigan Consumer Sentiment will be closely watched. Retail Sales are expected at +0.1% vs +0.2% previously. • 📈 Stronger US data → potentially stronger USD/yields → pressure on Gold • 📉 Weaker US data → reinforces Fed-hold expectations → supportive for Gold 🎯 Overall Fundamental Bias: MIXED → SLIGHTLY BULLISH The softer inflation/Fed outlook and geopolitical uncertainty remain supportive, but today’s US data can create strong two-way volatility.
