AC Charging (Normal Charging) Flow: Charging Station → Charge Port → On-Board Charger (OBC) → Battery Explanation: The charging station supplies AC power (like home electricity). The vehicle receives it through the charge port. The On-Board Charger (OBC) converts AC → DC. The battery stores DC energy for vehicle operation. 🔹 2. DC Fast Charging Flow: DC Charger → Charge Port → Battery (Direct) Explanation: The charging station already converts power to DC. Power goes directly into the battery. The OBC is bypassed, making charging much faster. 👉 Hint: No conversion inside the car = faster charging. 🔹 3. Auxiliary Power System (12V System) Flow: High-Voltage Battery → DC-DC Converter → 12V Battery → Loads Explanation: The main battery has high voltage (200–800V). The DC-DC converter reduces voltage to 12V. The 12V battery powers low-voltage systems like: Lights ECU (control units) Sensors Infotainment 👉 Hint: EV still needs a 12V system—just like conventional cars.
