To everyone who has been a part of Nexus, I am writing this from the bottom of my heart to say a massive thank you to every single one of you. To everyone who worked with us in leadership, and to every volunteer who gave their time and energy to help Nexus rise—thank you. You are the reason this organization became what it is, and we are so incredibly grateful for your dedication. We also want to make sure your hard work is properly recognized. If you haven’t received your certificate yet, or if you lost it along the way, please reach out to @Nexusethiopiavolunteerism as soon as possible. Just send over your Nexus ID card, your name, your ID number, and a quick reminder of your position or what you worked on. We will check our records right away and make sure you get your certificate. Announcement: The Future of Nexus Hello Nexus Community, This is a message from the founder of Nexus regarding the future of our organization. We recognize that we haven’t been active for some time. As a leadership team comprised of high school students—many of whom are currently preparing for national matriculation exams—our academic responsibilities have limited our ability to serve the community as promised. To ensure Nexus continues to grow and fulfill its mission, we have decided to pass the torch to a new generation of visionary, energetic, and capable leaders. We are officially opening applications for the next President and leadership team of Nexus. The selected candidate will take full ownership and lead Nexus with complete autonomy, free from the intervention of the previous board. The Selection Process Due to our current schedules, the board committee will only review materials from the first five candidates who complete and submit the required tasks. Speed and quality are of the essence. Tasks to Accomplish: Introduction Video: Create a short video (2–10 minutes) introducing yourself and explaining your motivation for wanting to lead Nexus. Strategic Plan: Submit a document (maximum 2 pages) outlining your full vision and execution plan for the organization’s future. We look forward to seeing who will step up to lead the next chapter of Nexus. Please submit your materials as soon as possible to be considered among the first five candidates.

The Red Cross is going to have a meeting at the AU with different countries representative and is looking for 6 volunteers who can speak French to attend. We believe this is one of the biggest volunteering events at the AU, in partnership with the Red Cross.
